Now that the 1998 SRX is out of the question I found a 1999 rmk700 with a 136/15/2", SLP pipe and can, and a lightweight hood for 2300 OBO. I was wouldering if it was a good price and if there where any cheaper mods that i could aford (I am 13).

Thanks

check how many miles are on it, and the rmk 700 is a great sled, lots of power for you that track is nice too, those sleds will take a beating and keep on kicking, My friend has one and it goes good, he put some V force reeds on it and it made the throttel a lot crisper and it cost him around 300$ for those, but let us know on how many miles it has

The 99 700 RMK's are a great sled. I'd keep looking. A lot of them are modded to some extent to keep up with the 800's that came out later. The 99's have the traditional sytle Polaris seat, and the 00's had the new style. Otherwise they are the same. Try and find the 2" track over the 1-3/4".

As for performance enhancments. They need the boost bottle to clean up the throttle, good clean clutches (a cat roller secondary (cat yellow spring and straight 49 helix) is the best and a cheap upgrade), SLP single and can is the best bang and very reliable. Jet down one size and you are good to go.

I put a lot of mountain miles on mine, and the only damage to it was my fault. Great starter sled.

M7 carb's is unusual. Great thing about twin pipes is you can quickly pull the plugs, remove the pipes and get a great look at the pistons. Check both cylinders for compression(should be within 10%).

If the price is right, and it checks out, it should make a great starter sled

Maybe I'm missing something, but why can't you do that with a single pipe?

Re: 1998 rmk700

cause for a single you would have to remove the Y pipe, its bolts not springs so it would be harder

Re: 2000 rmk 800

i ride a 2000 rmk 800, and they are an exclent, the crank went on it at 2500 miles and dad replaced it and now it has 6000 miles and still pulls hard, and the liberty power plant thats makes plenty of power for a stock machine, we have SLP twins and they work great, put a vari-flow on it so we dont have to fug around with jets, all i know is 2400 is a good price, well depending on miles and shape

Re: 1998 rmk700

Hello everyone - I'm a newbie with a 1999 RMK. I'm looking everywhere for a used seat cover for it. Do you know where I could find one? The sled is ready to go, but I'd like to replace the rips in the seat..oh yeah...and need snow!!!
Thanks!
