I've got a 2015 xm 174 t3 tss centre mount water to air - I just put a TKI belt drive on it -TSS changed my stock gearing to a 2.33 when they installed the turbo setup - I've talked to a few people and they say i should be running a 2.54 ratio - my guess is that TSS changed it to 2.33 to get higher track speed - just wondering if i can get some input from other people out there that have played with their gearing numbers

I don't run boost but prefer to gear the XM/T3 in that 2.5x:1 range as they are geared too low stock. I was pulling 20/51 (2.54:1) in my XM w/ 3" conversion with almost stock power and moderate clutching changes and it was a big improvement. I'll probably run the same in my 174 this season.

Depending on snow conditions - the 174 may not pull a higher gear ratio - in certain heavy snow conditions I thought the gearing was to high ! seemed to bog down - alot this season was pretty good for deeper snow !

there is absolutely no bog with a centre mount turbo regardless of any snow conditions - I think i'm gonna try 2.54 ratio -i messaged sled head racing - they said it would be a better machine in the trees and in the deep powder

I ran a stock 19/49 then changed the gearing to 21/49 way more track speed for big pulls but I did notice a little more turbo lag from gearing the sled up... the 19/49 is awesome for tree riding and boondockin.... mines a 174 /15X boost it system

Run 21/49 on impulse t3.. And that's on 8 tooth drivers, drive belt at 10lbs pulls up to a inch from top of primary sheaves, making for 2.04 ratio

as for lag, there is a stumble on a wot stab from stop, but is very drivable and strong track speeds compared to other turbo kits..

on aero kit run a 27/67 gearing on 9 tooth drivers.. But find its harder on drive train belts and gearing, large drivers, more stress on parts, but better attack angle, making for 1.94 ratio (but 100lb lighter sled)
