165 track and rails under 154 tunnel skidoo gen4

Has anyone tried to put a 165 track under 154 tunnel on skidoo gen 4 850? Bought a 2019 sled and thought about doing this before I got it and of course the 20's come out with it. I would go with ice age rails, have not made my mind on a track yet thinking camso 260, would I have to change gears? Any info on this

Been thinking of trying it with a used 154. Gear it to match a 165 sled and go with aftermarket clutching. Biggest concern for me is lug clearance at the back of the tunnel, may need some trimming.

I tryed to put a 155” track on my wife’s 144” rmk 3 years ago and the drop
brackets on the rear of the tunnel we’re not in the right place ,
I would have had to move back the mount so I did not do it
it would have been sick tho
i think the 155” to 163” would not b a prob on a rmk and a eazy swap out

I think clutching would be fine, and I think top gear is same but the bottom would need changed. I dont know if the lugs would hit the back of the tunnel or not I wouldn't think so.

Maybe it didn't work because you might be dumb.

Interesting the rear bracket location is different between the 144 and 155 tunnel
