hey is there any places to ride around golden or farmount that is not to xstream we are planning on taking the wifes out on dec26th to 29th we are not to sure of the area we mostly go to fernie they say there is no snow there yet

I would recommend sticking to Quartz Creek. It is a great area for people of all riding levels. $15 groom fee. Fairly new day cabin! Checking it out this weekend for the first time this year.

You can try Toby Creek, it is accross the road from Panorama Ski Hill in Invermere. They run a rental shop there and do tours, but I believe for a small fee they'll let you up. It is groomed all the way to the top and there is a cabin. Maybe give them a shout to confirm the details.
