A guy at work has a 6.5' deck. Lots of overhang, he ended up having to put a 2x6 under the track because there wasn't a whole lot of track on the deck.

Yep, i have the 6' deck and there's tons of overhang. I ended up getting some 1/4" aluminum bent to hook under the inside 2"x2" & over the outside of the beaver tail. They're are the same width as the track 16" and stick out 18" from the back of the deck. I'll post some pictures when i get home in a couple days if you like. Works pretty good, but you have to lift the sled on to them once its loaded.

I have a 154 that I put on a 6 foot deck and had way too much overhang so I went with an extension now it works great and it is easy to take off the extension when not in use.It is a crosstrax deck.

Cross Trax sells a real nice deck with a 2 foot removeable extension. I use this with my 2010 Dodge shortbox and 154 xp. Works awesome, in the summertime with my quad I do not need the extension so I remove it. Works great for pulling a camper, no pinch points.
