13 summit check engine light

Hey I have a 2013 summit with a check engine warning that flashes on the screen when you first start the sled beeps 4 times then just the motor icon stays on . but the sled runs great with no issues.

There's an update for a new ecm flash on '13. Sometimes ecm wouldn't detect exhaust sensor ( in muffler).

my buddy has a 14 - drive it little way down trail ! Engine light comes on and he has to shut engine off ! once he does that light goes out - but he does have aftermarket exhaust can !

Hold the M button and click the hi/low beam switch bunch when your CEL is on and it will display the code number across the screen.

Are you pushing the headlight button quickly or at pace?

Sorry for the late reply. I just went out to the shop to try it on my sled cause it's been awhile since I have done this.

Start by holding the "M" button firmly on the top left of the gauge. Then click the high/low headlight button at a pace one would use to flash someone with your brights using that switch, if you click to quickly it won't work. My highbeams usually come on/off 3-4 times before it displays anything across the middle of the screen.

If you don't have any hard codes all it will say is "No Active P Codes".

If the gauge has been changed and not married to the ecu the sled will throw an immediate CEL upon start up.

Issue with the check engine light ended up being old gas. Never was able to check codes not sure why but all is working good now. Thanks
