09 800R Renegade Fuel Gauge

I filled the sled up on Saturday. When I took it off the trailer and got 3 K up the trail I looked down at the fuel gauge and it showed one bar. I drove back to the pumps and she took about 5 litres. Clearly not losing fuel.
Throughout the day it fluctuated between high and low levels. The low fuel light came on at about 100 k into the trip. She still had lots of fuel left.
Has anyone experienced this before?

its not just those 2 things im talking about theres alot of information in there.

check the fuse the ends on my fuse were loose causing the gage to change when driving it..

The gauges are Junk, my 09 was never accurate, i just guessed after 120-150 km of hard riding it it was time for fuel.

My 2011 X seems to be pretty accurate though.
