8" is stock length on all the summit sleds. I'm partial to Smitty's risers cause the machining is top notch.

Dave,

Did you have to add any extensions by going with the 11"? How tall can you go without extensions on the throttle and brake cables?

Thanks,

Sorry to jack your thread but I have a 9" riser with no cable extensions. I think you can go to a ten inch but you may have to reroute the cables coming out of the console. Hope this helps..........doo-guy

I got the Skidoo 250mm.riser. It is 9 3/4". I added a powermad 2" under it to get 11 3/4". I had to bend the brake line so it points down instead of sideways. This gave me slack all the time on the brake line. I don't recommend bending it as if you go to far it will just fold.(I thought I'd take a chance) Throttle had enough slack on mine.

I have a 8" stock riser on with a 4" Rox ontop of that (12"), stock cables, not too tight, just had to move them around a bit and loosen the brake line off the reservoir and let it point down rather than straight out then tighten back up. Way to tall for me but my Pa sure seems to think it's a good thing!

Cheers

I went with Smitty's 9inch riser, as My brothers stock riser was 8.5 inchs center to center. Not sure why his is different. Have not put them on yet but once again very happy with the workmanship.

To respond above , no U should not have to much trouble, might have to trim off some zip ties to get the old off and the new one on, just take notice on how and where they are and try to tie up the same with new risers on.
