I know this topic has been touched on a few times but I'm just wondering if I need a whole skid from a summit or can I just buy rails and a track? Can I run anything bigger than a 2 inch track without new drivers or a drop kit? What about the tunnel extension and heat exchanger, are they a must? I also read about the need for A arms and sway bar removal. can A arms from any rev summit be used? thanks for all the help guys!

Back when the rev came out in 03 I bought one and long tracked it and trust me I did things the hard way. I went with a 144 2 inch and I was able to keep the stock drivers. If you have 10 tooths in your renegade you are safe to a 2" without new drivers and if you want a 2.25" you will need 9s. When I did mine I used rail extensions and I was not satisfied. If you don't do a ton of mountain riding and are not concerned about having the best performance out of your sled rails or extensions for your sled will do the trick. After I was all said and done with my mxz i would have done a mountain skid and copied the mounting locations. You might be able to squeeze a 144 without a tunnel extension but for the price and how much work it is to install I would get one. Summit a arms are not a must, but they will make the sled a little easier to throw around. I believe I have summit a arms kicking and I have a 144 mountain skid kicking around that I will be will to part with, if you are interested. Pm me if you are interested or if you have any other questions.
