06 700 rmk check engine light

[02 summit 700]

Fired up after summer storage ran fine. Replaced throttle body boots and oil pump cable, restarted and now check engine light flashes continuously and no reverse. If I hit the throttle it backfires. Unplugged TPS and it doesn't backfire but engine light still on and no reverse. Ran fine last year, anybody had any similar problems. I think it might just be a bad TPS.

my 900 had that. they had to replace the short tps harness(broken wires) and adjust the tps.

The flashing eng light should be flashing in a certain sequence. Just watch it, and you should see a flash pattern. Know more once you get the amount of flashes. I might have the codes and what they mean, somewhere. I'll check.
