hey i was wondering if anyone could tell me how i can go about removing the grips off the handlebars of my 05 summit 800. i bent the bars and im trying to strip everything off so i can get a new one on. whats the best way to get the grips off without doing any damage to the wires for the heated grips?

Air....hook the air hose up to the grips and plug the other end and the air will allow you to pull them off...easy...

are they the stock heated grips?? If so, find a wrench the same size as the handlebar and put it on the inside and tap them off.... A little heat from a heat gun might help, but a lot of times they get damaged and can't be saved.

not if they're the stock heated grips.... Then the heater are part of the grips....... ALTHOUGH SOME GRIPS((USUALLY THE X OR XTREME MODELS) ARE SEPERATE FROM THE HEATERS, AND THOSE ONES CAN USE AIR TO REMOVE THE GRIPS, THEN REMOVE THE HEATERS FROM THE BARS
