hey all, first time i really need sum advice.my quad is a bear to start when she is cold, new plugs good fuel but almost everytime i flood it, it has aftermarket parts such as full muzzy exhaust jetted k n N snorkeled, the valves have been recently adjusted, i live in a higher elevation, but seems it dumps too much fuel in. i prime it twice then put the choke half way, sumtimes works sumtimes doesnt, also im pretty sure the buss connector has been replaced aswell so that is ruled out, any suggestions from anyone would be greatly apreciated.

so went back today, she almost fired but just fluffed a few times, i tried choke all open no prime and didnt catch, then one primer and she wanted to go bad, but i did hear if you hold the throttle wide open it will let air in and dump the left over fuel out of the cylinder, is this true? if its not then i have most definetly flooden her badd. but i have had her running and shes rude but like i say it feels damn near impossible to start even when its 0 out. i need to find the little trick to starting this hogg, also if it helps everytime i almost have her started after all i can smell is fuel thus why i beleive shes flooded, any lil tricks anyone has would be very welcome,

i thank you all for checken this out and for the input, i have tried each and every techneic i have been offered, i know its sumthing stupid im doing just not sure what, thnx again all :beer:

well sometimes if its flooded bad u will never get it not flooded [ even a lighter to the plugs ] .... take the plugs out and crank her over to dry her out.... put in new plugs

if u don't her snorkled well sucks for the back plug.....

also there is a fuel shut off under the seat on the rh side back...

just don't break it of tryin to turn her if its got a good bit of mud there....

Also I took off my pull cord housing and the bolt the holds the silver bowl is not spinning perfectly around, more oblong, I am tryen to adjust it to get it perfectly but it appears there are two small pins missing that hold it in place aswell as re bolt. My question is will this throw Any type of timing off or anything and why is it still such a pig to start?? It's going in the shop tommorow but would like to know in advance

well getten her back on monday and have found the cause of all the problems,
1st, carb was filthy, caked inside with mud and both plungers were sticking. cleaned and good to go, also one of the jets were plugged by jet housing. next 4x4 wouldnt engage, under the fuse box was a bad wire, replced and good to go. choke cable was sticky aswell and has been cleaned out. and last the pull start bolt (behind the pull start housing) was missing 2 little bins that holds it in correct order. they were pushed in and ripped apart a flange or somthing like that.so they have been replaced aswell as that flange, all its about 4 hours labour but will find out next weekend if it was all well worth it, i appreciate everybodys help. also when i get her back monday il snap some shots and post the old girl on here. take er easy guys, thanks again
