I am changing out my tunnel on my 01 summit 800 and want to roll the chain case at the same time.
Does anyone know were to find a kit?
I found one at Van Amburg but it trashes the trailing arm mount. I will reinforce it if I have to.
I also need to know where to drill my skid holes, any ideas anyone?

Check with Fabcraft or Mountain Magic or Specialty Sleds, they might have one and they make a decent kit.

Any decent D&R will need to re-mount the trailing arm, you will probably have to reinforce it as well, I can take pics of mine for you if you want.

Skid holes will depend on track length, skid length and setback amount (if any). If you are pushing driveshaft back a long way you might have to trim rails at the front if you are using extroverts.

As a general rule, most say no more than 1" lower on the front mount locations from the original location. You may need drop brackets for the rear, drill lots of holes in them is my recommendation so that you can raise and lower rear skid mount location to determine where best weight transfer and climbing positions are.

Hope that helps.

Specialty does the CHEESY drop and roll. Mountain Magic does a custom roll and recreation supply in Sask sell the same kit that Specialty would do. Look in the slides and suspension section on the website.
