I have the 850 cooker solved and I am in production now and working on the list of orders .fernie snow should see his tomorrow or the following day.i worked hard on bringing you a very good sounding can from a very throaty sounding motor . not an ear bleeder this one .most cans built for this motor will have great difficulty in making it quiet . ski doo passes the exhaust thru nearly 60 inches inside ther can to quiet it down .
awesome feeling sled to ride . only down side to changing out the cans is what you have to go thru to get the stock one out .
for all those that didn't like the look of the last neck on the 800s I changed this one just for u guys hahahahaha . no the build just allowed us to, as doo left a lot more room on the neck department but skinnied up the compartment so we added a heat shield to the hot zone as well .
our sled ran on clicker one all day on top of boulder in handlebar deep snow .not sure if we just had a good unit or if this is the norm with the clutch set up .
if it tends to be the norm we would need to add a few grams to the levers. were waiting to see how all the test units show after breakin is done

Maybe clean it out once in awhile? Our '14 had mega miles and mega meals, the cooking tray was just about like new for the new owner that we found in September.

Oh I did, and when not in use it was in my seat bag

It's rubbed through like base has swollen up on can and made it tight to slide in, it has been tight for a few years now, and now that I think about it I'll look tonight at can base

Plus I use tinfoil on everything

But quite often I cooked twice a day for others that don't have a cooker, so it's had lots of use

See if this works……….this is a G4 at idle with theThing cooker can installed. Not much difference from stock, IMO. I won't tear up the street to get the audio at a higher rpm as our street is all black pavement. You will have to wait for more snow.

Installation is easy-peasy. BRP's mounting system has been incorporated with theThing and the can sits in nice and snug with no vibration.

Thanks to the SledShed Revy (Al and Kathy) for their dedication and persistence. Now, we need some snow to enjoy a little sea food at elevation. Thinking the first snack just might be some lobster tails for a little celebration!

Covered the rewind with foil tape, made a baffle from a Ford mud flap and covered that with foil tape (attached with zip ties), and covered the piece of plastic that hooks to the coolant reservoir with foil tape. Two cookers installed and just waiting for snow.

When I get some more snow, I will do another audio video at WOT. Right now the pavement is black on front of the house and the snow isn't deep enough to ride anywhere other than the road.

Should have done one stock at idle video and one with can to see for sure. You do good work Mr snow, very tidy and looks like you've got all the details covered!

Al correct me if I'm wrong. But you shouldn't see more power, it will be very close to stock with the exception of the following.
Better sound
Lighter weight
And of course all the hot eats you can pack..

I'll post a pic of one tomorrow if you guys like.

we have lots of replacement cooker pots , ther cheap you should have a few tex.
sound is interesting . its a lot quieter from the riders seat . I noticed it and talking with rene he said he noticed that to . not sure why but we both thought that it was louder if you were beside it .is quiet thou from a riders perspective..
took the snap out of the sound the same way you would if you were trying to quiet down a big game rifle .played around a bunch to find that .
uses all the stock rubbers and when installing it I found that you should do the bolt up before attaching the springs .
heat tape the electrical wires on the chain case .
I did the rewind and I left the plastic shield .acoustic panel is what they call it . and put heat tape on that . it covered all the stuff behind it .
the heat shield that we put on the can is very effective .
the bottom exit hole is designed to flow cold air up towards the rewind with the stock can in place and we tried to keep this attribute working for this can as well .

to bad they made the side panel the way they had on the exhaust side . done like they did before I had a cooker can that I developed last year that is stock decibels 'fits the xm chassi '
as the season goes on I will see what I can do for the g4 .a different shape container is what I need to find and then I can build one for this 850 .
