I'll be ordering two of the combo's with the Life Kit, great Idea for a second shovel, easier to get to for digging out, while keeping the avalanche shovel in the pack....

I have the powder keg PS-136-CM combo kit on my 2012 pro. If you're on the fence about getting one, I highly recommend it!! I was worried that it would get in the way when trying to throw a leg over, nope. Half a season with this one on the sled, haven't noticed it at all on the back. With the fuel can under it, it makes the storage a bit small but I keep my saw and some survival stuff in it (rope, torch, blanket, knife, multi tool, flashlight) and still have room for some food and a couple bottles of water.

Super easy to install, super easy to take off and you have the option of running with or without the fuel can under it. These things are a great design.

I've got 1 1/2 seasons on mine. They are built very tough. I want to buy the larger size for my Pro. I need more storage.

Sent from my iPhone when I should be sledding.

New information, read what Chris and Powder keg has offered now.

Dale,

We at Powder Keg want this "group purchase for snowandmud members" to be a positive experience for all concerned, so we are changing the discount up to 17% and extending the purchase period to February 28th for this buying group. This way we can start filling orders now and keep allowing people to join the group for the rest of this month.

We will need the purchaser's make, model, year and track length of their sled along with the part numbers of the items they want to purchase. We also need their shipping address so we can try to find the items at a dealership close to them. This info will help us to make sure they receive the proper items to fit their sled.

We will check with "Menztoys.com" and all other Powder Keg dealers that contact us to find out what they have in stock and fill all orders possible from their stores. All other items will be shipped directly from our factory location.

The buying members will be contacted by the stocking dealer nearest them or by us for their credit card and mailing address info so the items can be shipped. The final price will be calculated by taking the retail cost of the Powder Keg items minus 17%, plus the shipping cost. (In some cases tax may apply.)

Thanks,
Chris

The plastic used to make these is a special cold weather / light weight plastic that holds up great on sub-O weather and will not crack like some other types of plastic.
If you can break them Powder Keg will replace them!!!
YOU WON'T MISS THE ZIPPERS!!

I didn't do a very good job of introducing myself to you fellow riders. I am Chris form Powder Keg. I mostly ride in the mountains of MCcall Idaho but I have gone as far as Canada and Wyoming. I'm totally hooked on
mountain riding and the adrenaline rush that comes with it. I was a General contractor for most of my life. Now my favorite job is Research and development where I get to go to the mountains and beat the crap out of what ever Powder keg items I am riding with. My wife Kathy and I are very proud to now have so many snowmobile friends we have met through this business. We call our customers & dealers "Our Powder Keg Family" and we do our best to treat them as such. We want customers to feel free to call us with any questions or problems and we promise we will do our best to take care of you.
I hope to see you on the mountain!

We mounted the two we bought from Chris Saturday morning....(finished some chores) then headed for Swan Hills.

We had been using small jerry cans and back packs for storage and strapping them in place with a spare shovel for easy access........but this is the way to go...

Easy to install, convenient to use and look good on the sled....the shovel in the lid is so easy to get at....

The fuel container is tucked and out of the way, but yet easy to get at when needed or to unload and just take the storage unit.....

Chris and Kathy were great to deal with, they have gone out of their way o help put together a group purchase, for those that signed up and have made contact thanks....the rest please follow up you wont regret it....
