Took a drive out to Etherington and Catarac today to check out the snow conditions. There was about 2-4 inches of fresh at both of the parking lots and probably a total of about 6-8 inches with the crusty base. Looked like it was still pretty socked in farther back. Won't be long:beer...
Don't know if you be interested in this scenario but I did my flying nun last year and replaced everything with 440 race sled parts, they all fit, rivet, and bolt right into place. Just thought i would let ya know that you could beef the front end up a little while your in there.
You'll be fine, momentum is your best friend when riding a shorty. I rode a 440 sno cross sled in the mountains for a few years and had a lot of fun both on the deep days and the not so deep days. If you ride a snocross sled i'm sure your no stranger to having the throttle tapped to the bars...
