We picked up a couple rocks too this year. Couple in the rock trap, couple caught on the header. Rocks just about grew better than the crop this year. Wrapped up our crop yesterday some did alright but most was rather disappointing. Happy to be done though.
Finally got going this evening. Barley is nice and dry but the fields not so much. Atleast we got the field opened up, hopefully dry out a bit to make getting trucks in and out easier.
Finally got everything ready to start harvest here in central AB. Coulda used this rain in July though. 1.5” over the last 2 weeks and another inch last night/today so far.
Pretty sure the oilers booked a tee time back in the beginning of the season when they were last in the league. And they are more worried about making the tee time than winning the cup. Just a terrible performance
Anyone else getting hail with every storm cycle that comes over this year? Tonight’s atleast 3 times this year so far for pea sized hail. Hopefully not a sign of worse weather to come this year. 1/2hr west of leduc
Finished seeding on Sunday and have had on and off showers all week. Probably the first spring in 3-4 years now we’ve had these kind of conditions. It’s nice to see
Only thing going for the cat gauge is it has the chance to work a 100% of the time opposed to doo’s that works 1/2 the time and is riddled with problems. So that’s gotta be worth something lol
Pretty sure everyone that didn’t have their chains are throwing them in the truck when they get home, and those that don’t have are buying some when they get home. Sure happy I had mine for when I needed them.
We had a organic farmer beside us for a number of years. The thistle problem he has caused us and neighbours is unbelievable. Every year it was like it was snowing in the summer with all the thistle fluff that would fly across the road. Maybe a 60-70acre field and he would be lucky to get a...
