Its on a King Quad 700. Pretty sure its a CV joint. Just wondering if its a warning sign that i should replace it. I've heard of some people leaving them quite some time without issue when they do this.
I have a clicking sound in the rear end passenger side. sounds like the tire side of the shaft.
Just wondering if anyone had any idea if its a shaft or bearing about to pile up so i can order some parts beforehand. Also i need bushings so lifting the tire and wiggling to check the bearing does't...
if you cracked it or put a hole in it i'd just fix it with fibreglass, i did mine on my king when a stick hit it and was waiting for the new one to come in
seems to be holding up well and only cost a few bucks
when you test if it stall maybe try to plug in your factory chip to see if it will fire right up. it could be the simplest thing to try first. i could be wrong though
i acctually haven't driven it in about 3 years other than about for 1km aroukd the yard andit would seem fine driving. It doesn't leak when the fuel is off. and the gas is coming out of the drain hole on the very bottom of the carb, as i said before the screw to stop this couldnot get any...
if you have a copperhead it may be the problem, mine was not working properly and it would die after getting wet.
might be different but check your ecm just incase that is the case
I have an 01 350 that leaks gas from the carb. I have had the carb apart several times and it is spotless so i don't think dirt in there is an issue. the screw on the bottom of the carb appears to be seized in, i am guessing there is an oring on here though that needs replacing???
Any ideas of...
I've got a 2" lift on my 700, i believe its from lightning performance, i seem to go trough alot of cv boots due to very little clearance and my a-arm guards hold everything.
Has anyone tried kevlar boot guards from yamaha?
Also is there anything else i could try, a new boot every weekend gets...
it was not my ecm however there was a ground wire to the engine that was loose apparently. after it was tightened the volts were back up to 14 so this is supposed to be solved now
This is what the dealer is telling me now as well they said the will change it for free and will only take a minute. ill get it done and see if there is a difference
I have a couple friiends with Grizzly 700's with front diff problems. the diff locks dont seem to engage. also one has changed the complete fornt diff, this helped for about 6 months nut now its not engaging again
Any ideas on something that they are missing??
Thanks
I find they dont last long no matter what i try. all the sand and grass seems to stay in them no matter how much i clean. Ive just come to the conclusion that they need replaced at least once every 1000km
You could also check where your wires from the switch lead. Mine were wrapped around the steering column pretty tight and everytime i had the wheels turned to the right it would pull them out and not winch in. but only when they were to the right.
Slave Lake Yamaha is also a suzuki dealer. Ive bought 2 machine from them as well as many friends they have excellent staff and no issues what soever with them sales or maintenence
