Yeah Mitch its Dean lol. Got mine reflashed and a different map in the PC5. Was in blue river the first weekend of dec. Ran great. Hopefully I am done fixing for a while. But it is a dragon ha ha.
I use Amsoil interceptor in my 09 Dragon. Just pulled the exhaust valves to clean and never had to scrub them, very little buildup. Have been using this oil for years. Used it in my 03 754 rmk mod with over 5000 miles on same jugs, crank.
Hey Wildman, I spoke too soon. Took mine for a rip today before loading up and its doing the same as yours now. I'm bringing my meter tomorrow to check the stator, we can check yours too if they didn't already.
Was out for a ride monday and the sled was acting funny. Started out running on one cylinder for a while then on 2 the rest of the day. Would fall on its face shortly after a full throttle blast. Thought it was bouncing off the rev limiter because of too light primary weights. Started it up last...
well the 402 was not that gutless, just saying it did not have the pulling torque of any of my 5.9 cummins. I am sure the 8.1 has a lot of power but probably uses alot of fuel. I pull a 34 foot fifth wheel, 9500 pounds empty and can get between 13-14 mpg with my 04.5 2500 dodge. To each there...
I have been running diesels for probly 10 years now,the newest one a 04.5 2500 dodge. I know its hard to get the fuel economy out of the newer ones. I had a 95 dodge 2500 that I worked over- pump, exhaust, CAI, injectors and it was a great truck, 25 mpg pretty consistently. But with a good...
For what you need buy a subscription to dynotech research. You then e-mail Jim there and tell him what you need. He will e-mail you a map. I got a map from him for my 09 dragon and it works very well.
I have ran MBRP on a few of my sleds and each one burnt out to being almost unbearably loud. Why didn't I try something else? Availability and convenience where I live. I did have a "thing" on my 03 rmk mod which I really liked.
Had the exhaust done on my 04 Dodge diesel at Park Muffler in Sherwood park. Everything is custom except for the tailpipe. All 4 inch. I'm pretty sure they have mandrels that can bend 4 inch pipe. I wil have to go look at mine again!
I have been using a conditioner called Gen 49d made by power up. It has performed well in the Bocle and HFRR fuel lubricity tests. I use it just for piece of mind and the added cetane value.
Not sure whats going on with the sled but now I get foam in the coolant reservoir. originally I thought it may have been some varsol, etc left over when I put the fix kit in. Now I am thinking I might have a leaking o-ring on the head or a leaking base gasket. I know a leaking o-ring on the head...
The pistons in the kit are made for the 800 block. They are made(with all things being equal and in good shape) to slip right into the cylinders. The pin height is also lowered to reduce rock compared to the factory pistons. As far as I know the 700's never had the issues of undersized pistons...
Doed anyone know how many flashes there were since the dealer update? I currently have the first flash after the update was done. Was that the Jan 2010 one?(not the one done with the update but the next one after)
Minus 40, thats good to know. I was just going by how Timbos performs, but he does the original higher compression head. I did get a map from Jim at dynotech for the slp single and he said I would need the latest flash- April of 2010. Maybe this is the way to go for my setup. Would be nice to...
