Hello all,
Just need some advice for a place to camp. ( ie the bush not serviced). My brother and family are looking for a nice place to ride and camp May long. We are new to AB like everyone else. Just looking for a place to pull in on Crown land with a bumper hitch toyhauler and camp the...
New to the area as well and wondering the same thing. I did do some research on the forum and there is some info on here for local riding areas. Would love some GPS waypoints to just program and go. Also found that getting to the riding area and finding a place to camp might be a little...
First question would be what does the machine come with? Upgrades? I would say first thing would be tires. Stockers suck. Unless your stock Bighorns. Snorks would be second. Not sure on the riding you do but keeping the motor/airbox dry is important. Windshield/roof would be next. Performance...
Battery came off Ebay. Through vendor out of Sask. At my door in like 4 days. Bracket came from some racing outfit out of the states. Took longer but worth the wait fits like a glove. If you check out pic pretty sure there is even the supplier sticker on the thing I think.
Re: Alberta Beach 2013 Family Day Rally - Feb 18
Right on thanks. I'm on it like a fat kid on a Smartie. See you guys there. Look for the lost guy in a 2010 black teryx.
Re: Alberta Beach 2013 Family Day Rally - Feb 18
Sounds great>look forward to it. Any idea what you're expecting for turnout? Sorry to ask dumb questions. Just moved here. Alberta Beach is near Morinville? I searched Google map on AB beach and thats what shows. Will you post up a map of the start?
Here's a link to the battery install I ended up doing today. Can't post pics here yet so gotta do it on the old forum. Install Odyssey 925 with alum. bracket. Ended up pushing the battery back further and gaining some space under the drivers seat.
Re: Alberta Beach 2013 Family Day Rally - Feb 18
Just wondering. Never been to a rally either this late or early in the season. Isnt there a lot of snow around to have a rally/derby? Is this on groomed trails or something. Anyone been to this one before? Just moved to Fort Sask. Would this be...
Thats the first thing you hear with getting a UTV. I have yet to be outdone by a quad with my Rex. Its a none issue as far as I'm concerned. Commander is fine machine. I would say buy new or near new start off models were a little shaky. Tons of power. Brother rides a 2012 and really likes it.
Few things to take into consideration. Your bike is EPS right. So you can run wide all around. Just a thought. There are some benefits to being wide. Basically you end up getting better floatation in soft stuff. From what I understand Skeg is something you will see in AB. Skinny wide combo...
I'm for sure up for a winter ride. I heard Bruderheim is the place to ride. Thats good because its close as well. I will for sure. I work mon-fri so anytime on the weekends works for me.
Good to know. Ya we finally got settled into our new place over christmas. Finally seems a little more normal. As far as the derbies go I gotta get a sled before I can ride on a poker derby. I've been shopping but my banker (point at his wife) thinks overwise. LOL. All in time. I'm for sure up...
