Being that I do like the cradle I'll look into the himark pack. Not sure I'm sold on the vest yet. Wouldn't mind trying one on though, to see how much movement is restricted.
Anyone know where in/near Edmonton a guy can look at, or try on an avi vest? I see that WARY makes them, but really like the head cradle that snowpulse has built in. Anyone have anything to say about them? Got a buddy with the highmark pak, and he's looking into the vest also to get rid of the...
Gotta say though, I've been there twice now, got some boots for a decent price, and some shirts. For anyone that'll wear fxr it's a great store for sure. I agree, after I was forced to buy Klim bibs in McBride last year though, I'll never own anything else. Worth every overpriced penny!
lol
Hey Deano, not sure if you remember looking at my orange M1000 last season or not. But I have a new toy now and could use an hour of your time to run me through some fuel, oil, and general maintenance on my new sled. Obviously you're hourly rate will apply, think I still have your number, maybe...
The modrod vents are great. Only problem I had was waiting 2 months and emailing and phoning constantly to get them. I did buy them on ebay so maybe that had something to do with it, but there was no contact with me for over a month until I started a negative seller situation with paypal to get...
Just got back tonight and all I can say is carnage, lol. Lots of rocks and getting into and out of the saddle was a hell of a treat! Had a bunch of fun, and made it out without damage, but a lot of guys will be putting some money into new sets of a-arms for sure. Snowed up there saturday night...
Gotta say staying at the Beaver Creek cabins is the best choice IN town, would love to try Judy's place out but can't say enough about Jill. Although that being said, I have definitely noticed the cabins appeal going down hill the last two years, our cabin wasn't cleaned at all the last trip we...
Yeah I'm an Albertan, and being that at one point I owned two trailers, three sleds, a dirtbike, a quad, two cars and a truck I've pretty well had it with paying registration on everything. I have no problems getting insurance, but I refuse to pay for a plate that won't allow me to ride my sled...
Hi Dean, I think you may have just done some tuning and repair work on some friends of mines sleds. Corey Laughington and Brandy from Leduc. I may be wrong though, lol. I hear you are doing a 1200 kit to the '07 M1000 as well as a turbo, which is pretty cool. I was told to ask you if you knew...
Does anyone know if there's any snow in McBride yet? Or how the trails are looking? Heading up there dec.10-12 for the first ride, hope it's as epic as it was last year at this time!
Hey mark, if you get this. I have an '07 M1000 and the kit they gave me doesn't have an orange wire. Just the red, black, and head unit plug in. Should I have bought a different harness, or will this one work? It's just a 52 for dual egt's.
I'm having the same problem with my '07. If I'm sidehilling ditches out here at about 5000rpm for thirty seconds or so and let off then get back on it, it bogs down to an almost stall. Almost put me over the bars a few times! At WOT it seems to scream and run awesome. I think the previous owner...
Thanks for the info, I'll check to see what belt I'm running, and maybe pick up a 46 to try out. My sled is an '07 though, not an '09, with a speedworks pipeset, not slp, so if you're running a boondocker and it works well, then that's what I'll probably try out. I can pull fuel from the map...
The Y-pipe was weld ins for the egt sensors? Is it speedwerx also? How was the secondary? Make much of a difference? I might be interested, know what a decent fuel controller would be offhand for an M1000?
well as it turns out, my primary was seizing up because the spider was cracked up all four posts. That kept the primary stuck open which in turn kept the secondary open. Guess I'm not the mechanic I thought it was, lol. Although, I do seem to have the low end bog still with the new primary, but...
