Mass immigration is going to ruin canada

It isn't a matter of canadians not wanting to work. Here in Cranbrook we see ads for jobs in businesses owned by, (usually East Indians), going unfilled because they won't hire local canadians that apply. They run these ads for weeks and then petition the government for foreign workers saying...

    Rogers vs. Bell/Telus

I was with Shaw when the switch to Rogers took place. No problems with Shaw, as soon as it went to Rogers my cell signal was less than half, lots of places with no service, dropped calls. Didn't last a month before switching to Koodo. I live outside of Cranbrook.

    Fkn woodpeckers

Flickers will hammer on anything. They will drill holes in Hardy board the same as stucco. Give them enough time and they will drill through a metal roof as well. I treat them like skeet shooting because they fly away as soon as you show up.

Less sledding buddies to ride with

As our group gets older we are riding less, with the high cost of new sleds we haven't been able to keep up with the new technology either. I am seeing my kids and their friends opting to spend more time with the family than sledding because they can't afford to have the whole family sledding...

    Wireless Doorbells

We tried the wireless route. Batteries only lasted a few weeks, the two versions we have tried don't give a low battery warning so you never know when it quits working. Not a fan so far.

ATV Ban... where to ride in Alberta?

Since when is the use of OHV's any part of indigenous traditions? Getting tired of being discriminated against while special interest groups are catered too.

    Probate and wills

Our experience in BC when mom passed in 2021 was that any accounts in joint names were simple, her name was removed from the account and that was that. Her TFSA was set up with beneficiaries, so that was straight forward as well. We were told that the balance of the estate which was her...

    B.C. ups EV rebates

Getting a little tired of the government giving tax dollars to a select few. As a retiree, I can't afford a new car, electric or not. Perhaps if I wasn't paying so much in taxes it would be different.
