Hey guys...I have some friends in BC that want me to come out for a weekend and ride with them. I am curious on a couple things though.
1. My machines are legally registered and insured in Alberta, do I need anything different to ride them in BC?
2. My 11 year old son can legally ride in...
Ouch, when we went to buy the wifes car last week, I asked how much for mine trade in. $6500. Sounds like at least the guys I went to offered some lube...
I hear ya Misfit. I have an 03 GMC 2500HD I would like to sell. The perk I am in is it is not my daily driver and I only use it for toy hauling or working at my dads place. I figure I will keep up the word of mouth and keep it on Kijiji for a while, but I am not putting in an effort and...
Well, when I replied back with this..
"Just out of curiosity, is there a way he can register this as a work vehicle and get around it. He has been using this setup for at least 10 years. There are also fork lifts and tractors used in the areas that are not street legal. Does that mean they...
I have an 03 with the 6.0L, auto, 3:73 gears 4x4, and I am running 285's on it. The truck has no problem hauling my slide in camper (old heavy bastid) and a 4 place trailer behind it. You are not going to set any speed records, but it will pull good and you won't notice much of a difference...
Any other legal info, work vehicle wise or anything that someone may have? How do the Surveyors legally use a quad along the highway? We just want some documentation saying it is legal so if he gets a ticket he can fight it. If we can't find it then he is going to put some setup on his truck.

Thanks guys, I got a response back from the RCMP. ftguy, you should keep this in mind too sounds like.

Sir,
I understand what you're saying in that your friend's business is onland owned by him. However, the gas station, bottle depot and possiblythe oil distribution center are...
See that is his concern, that is isn't something small and fightable. But I look at the off-highway vehicle regulation (319/2002) and I cannot find where there is any restrictions on private property.
Yep. I have a feeling that it is due to the town council pushing to allow atv's on the town roads and the RCMP not liking the idea, so he is getting screwed in the process.
I can't seem to find actual "legal" information for what I am looking for.
Here is the scoop. The RCMP has told a friends dad (owns a mechanics shop) that he can no longer use his ATV (licence, insured, and registered) to push cars into his shop. He is not going on public property, he stays...
