I am thinking of geting a Pro RMK but can't afford a new one so I was wondering what people thought was the best year for the new style of Polaris Pro RMK 2011-13.
Honestly I am probably looking at an 11 or 12 due to lower price but looking for opinions on good and bad for each year and things...
Thanks for the info on the XP years and changes. Looks like I need to try for a 2010 or newer xp if I can afford it and if I decide on the XP. I will definatly need an s-36 kit if I go with an xp.
I took out both my 2005 renegade and summit this weekend and rode both around. Man what a...
What makes the slightly newer 10?/11/12 summit xp's handle better than the 08/09's ? skis, narower a-arm stance? rear suspension mounts in different locations? other changes?
Ya that is not what I am after so maybe I will get a pro and piss both groups I ride with off haha. One group cat fans the other all ride rev or xp.
Just trying to get some input on weak points, good points and best sled for the money. How much of a difference they will be over my old rev as...
I know there is a lot of variation when looking at used sleds with wear and tear / miles factors in. The nice thing about buying a 08/09 xp is that the likleyhood of someone going through the engine already is a bit higher and I may be able to get one with nice aftermarket shocks etc. where...
Well I got through my first season with a couple rev's, 04 600cc summit 144, and 05 800cc renegade 137 and just love the sport so I am thinking of upgrading for next year. I love the summit and just can't seem to throw the renegade around easy enough. Too wide in the front and I only weigh 150...
The first sled mentioned: $2500 OBO
If I remember right he said it stoped working a while ago at around 2100 and he is guessing it has 2500 miles now. I will definatly inquire more when I talk to him in person. I did find out that he has had it for 2 months and now needs money to fix his...
Thanks for the tips. What is a good PSI and a bad PSI on a 2 stroke? How many miles on one of these before they usually need engine work? I can weld myself so if the crack is in the pipe I can fix it easy enough. Any idea on the spedo fix on the first sled mentioned.
Just spoted another...
I am going on a bit of a drive to go take a look at my first sled tomorrow after work and am looking for some pointers and advice. I am looking at a 2004 ski-doo 600cc REV Summit 144". He says it has 2500 miles on it, the exhaust pipe has a crack and that the spedo does not work. So I am...
A bit above my price range, and way too far away.
I found a 05 rev 800 144' with twin stinger can with pipe, bar risers with fat boy bars, white plastics it has a new top end and has 4,000 miles. $3700.
I also found 2006 ski-doo summit 800 with a 144" track. 827 rk tek big bore kit installed...
After doing some more research I am really liking the skidoo rev sleds. There is definatly a ton up here so parts and finding one for sale should hopefully be easy. It is just a matter of finding one I like and can afford. I may have to wait another month and try to save a little more as most...
07'S are probably pushing it for price range but I may find a deal or 2 out there. Most seem to be 04, 05, 06 in my price range, and of course eairler models but I am not looking there.
I just found an 05 RMK 900 151" for $3k, but needs an O2 sensor he says. Any thoughts? Is this a bad...
The brands up here seem to be pretty even but I am not sure who has the most out there as I don't go out riding. If I had to guess I would say Skidoo is first with Artic cat second, Polaris in third, and of course yamaha in fourth.
I live in the big city so lots of dealers and shops so no...
You see a bit of everything up here from 121" to 163", as anywhere I suppose. It seems like there is quite a bit out there for sale up here in the 140's-150's. I was originally thinking of a 136-144" but now am thinking something in the 144-159" would be better. I think the 140's seems to be...
I dont much care for the looks of the older RMK with the trailing arms. I think they are pre 2004 years. Tex78, is this what you mean by the older rmk, or do you mean the 2005+ model I am looking at? That is also good to know about no reverse on the m7's. I think I would prefer reverse...
I am looking at buying my first sled and would like any opinions out there. I live in Anchorage Alaska so I am mostly going to be doing mountain type riding, bowls, powder, with only minor trail riding, So I thik I am looking for a mountain sled.
Keep in mind this is my first sled, I a 5'7"...
