Wanting to do such a mod and looking for input. What ratio has given good results? Looking for better launch but still getting 65 miles top speed. And what is the stock gear ratio? Thanks in advance
I'm not sure if the guy is on this forum as well, jccapri , I contacted him thru polarisatvforum. He has different kits depends on what you require. If you need a phone number just send a pm and I will reply.
Having had to make the same decision back in April I can tell you I'm glad I bought a scrambler over the renegade. Having rode and worked on both machines and brands for some time I find that polaris is just easier. Easier to go fast, smoother and easier to keep on top of maintenance. Rad...
I would love to say that I will for sure, since I have never made the full trip before. But work is sporadic right now and bills have to be paid. And I don't remember calling you a pu$$y, maybe a d1nk from time to time but not a pu$$y
Little off topic. I was out in that area today down by pipeline crossing by the north Saskatchewan. While we sat for lunch our group cleaned up garage left behind for close to an hour. The carelessness of some people amazes me. On a positive note the trails are awesome already. Just the right...
The grizzly 660 was bad for steaming itself. There was a recall kit from Yamaha if it's not already installed. It's like a aluminum covered foam pad for under the fuel tank. Trapped steam gets under the tank cover and that's where the air box pulls from. I have seen people drilling small holes...
Yeah, I was kinda wondering about the power the 1000 has. Hard to tell on limited traction surfaces right now. And only riding friends machine. Even with 30s she a beast eh? Be a good show to watch, other buddy has can am renegade 1000. Nice to see how those will compare also.
Chatted with Amber @rainy creek, she had pretty good things to say about both the 850 & 1000. Pricing seemed good as well. Still not a huge amount of aftermarket goodies to be found for these machines
Buddy just picked up his 1000 scrambler, barely any miles on it but you can't smack the smile off his face. He told me to take her for a rip but I don't wanna put the first scratch on it.
Bike man has two different styles of cans, one loud and one quiet, tried both and the quiet is the better can by far. Had intermittent bog and seemed like over fueling problems at idle when using the loud can. Switched to the quiet and all problems ceased, strange but true. Mechanics told me it...
Morning Richard, tried to pm you but won't go thru. Camera I suspect is about a foot deep in a meadow somewhere. But like I said, I have had good luck so far. Not sure if there is any fresh in the last week. Snow was getting really set up last outing
Was out in that area a couple times now, there is great riding to be had. Heading back out tomorrow hopefully for another poke. Some areas need some freshening up
I am running 20t top and 49t bottom now. Way better then the stock gearing in my opinion. Had a good ride yesterday. Haven't played with clutch springs yet. Just slightly heavier on weights in primary.
Got my sled back, thanks again Troy and Connor. Apparently when I changed from the 50t gear to the 49t gear the tensioner could not take the angle. So not sure what let go first, chain or the adjuster shoe. Sleds all fixed up so hoping this is the last of the issues
On my 800, it definitely was the cap. It was faulty, bottom piece was actually broken and wouldn't allow pressure to build up. Yours being a four stroke, you may be looking at a head gasket leak. Don't know if a coolant leak down test would have enough pressure to test this but may be worthwhile
