I have one of those hybrid models made by Alcom. On the 4-5th year and still solid.. I believe the floor is 12ft and the nose curves forward, so the 155's fit in easily. Works great, light weight. I've since fixed up the inside with foam insulation, wall board, hangers, etc.
I have a 3" block I put at the back to help level sled and lift track off ground. Adding a spacer to the front should do the same.
On another note, these lifts are not very wide, so they get tippy if rolling across the floor. I added a bar on the front to move the wheels outward, which added a...
Wow, 10 years ago I made a comment in this thread. I snow checked a 600 back in 2013. It's now owned by one of my buds and is a regular in our riding group. That Pro 600 is still going strong. Besides regular cleaning, maintenance, it hasn't had any problems.
Things like the motor itself, belt...
This is on 2015 800 RMK. Is there a special way to orient the stat back in the head cover?? Bridge lines up with the 2 holes, X degrees +/-. etc. Guessing the bleed hole shouldn't matter since it can spin anyways. Didn't think this would turn into brain surgery but also want to make sure it...
Have a buddies sled that needs some misc adjustments. Besides the dealer (limited options), is there any shops around Red Deer that can set the TPS on 2011 Polaris 800.
Paperwork just happens to be laying on my desk...................Definitely Wawanesa.................Broker is Access in Red Deer.
I went this route several years ago, when my home/auto companies did not insure toys. Have switched home/auto since then, but after price checking, I've just left...
I remember those plastic paddles. Had to pay attention following cause they were missiles when the paddle flew off.
What we did on a few of the old machines was turn the track around backwards. When you're talking 3/4 grips, everything helped. Couldn't stop as quick, but what's more important?
Hah, does a free air count? 1980 TXC 340. Purchased 2 of them new in the crate. Had to assemble, PDI ourselves. Many fun miles were put on those machines.
I too have had a few warranty claims. Two pair of gloves looked brand new but were coming apart. Denied. So haven't bought anything since.
However, this past season, I was always getting damp feet in my Adrenaline boots. Tried several things and found it was definitely the boots. Sent them in...
Looking for new scratchers for our RMK's.
Had Ice Storms on both sleds and just broke 3 out of the 4 this past weekend. All snapped off right at the bend.
One of the group had a skidoo with scratchers that attached to the rear tunnel/suspension bracket. IMO seemed a little far back but they...
First time moving for a year, and it started with a squishy lever and had no brakes.. The fluid was all contaminated, removed assembly, cleaned the reservoir and hose and it will not pump/pressure up any fluid.
Now silly question, pumping the lever should get fluid moving out the hose correct...
Buddy has a 2009 Summit X with brake problems. He needs a master cylinder assembly. Honestly never knew these wore out.
So what's our best option for a replacement?
Can we rebuild it?
Order new from dealer for too much $$$ and a week delivery time.
Or any place in central Alberta to find used...
Strange how the new ones are hard on batteries, maybe cause all the fancy features. I still use one of the original Gopro's. I think it says Hero on it. I have a one touch on/off setup. Many times I leave it on my helmet all day, just turn on/off if there's something interesting coming up. I can...
Just wondering if the regulations have changed in the last while when pulling a trailer down the highway??
We just went on a couple road trips around Alberta and BC and floored me how many people drive with the wrong set up. I would bet half of the tow vehicles have no proper side mirrors. Then...
last year I picked up this 12 footer, made by Alcom. Only good for 2 sleds but that's what i wanted. Empty it weighs in around 1000# so easy to move around by hand. Don't need a storage lot to park, it stays in my backyard. Nothing fancy, no heat, etc. all I've done is add glides and a few hooks...
I find it better to keep things simple. I still use the original Go-Pro Hero stuck on top of helmet. No idea how old it is, however still takes great vids, but it is a simple, no-frills camera 720/1080p. I have it setup for a one touch on/off. Only thing is I can't watch anything till hooked up...
Over the years I've used various open double trailers.
1....Steel trailer with 2200# axle, worked fine, until rust got a hold of it. The paint don't last long and it fell apart, Had to weld several times to keep it going.
2....Featherlite tilt Aluminum. the one with those fat stubby tires...
