if you have to run manufacturers oil for warranty they have to supply the oil. No dealer auto,heavy equipment or recreation will ever tell you that. There is a big difference...
i think you have a valid concern due to the fact no official word from brp on whether it is a design flaw or operator abuse ie hitting something solid pretty easy to say operator fault and leave the bill in owner's hands.
Some say brp is covering the cost of repair and others are out the repair...

change chain case oil in the first 300-500 klm
you should be good to go save your thousand dollars for oil, belts and gas
