Does anyone in Edmonton or Sherwood Park own an ABS Freeride pack in Large? ABS has discountinued them this year and I'm buying one online but I need to try one on first. If anyone has one and wouldn't mind letting me try it on to see if it fits, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
My group just bought the new Mammut Pulse Beacon and it's awesome. We got a great deal buying them out of the states too. They were much cheaper than anyone here.
I guess I'm just a little cranky 'cause we've all handed over our cash to some guy in a parking lot at some point, only to get 5km up the trail and realize your sled and back are going to take a severe beating for the next 20km.
I'm not concerned with the money and I want the club to get all...
For those of you that didn't read the beginning of the thread, $8 goes to taxes, and cabin maintainence, and propane, and keeping areas open, and all be other perks we enjoy. No one is complaining about those costs that were nicely broken down in the beginning of this thread...
The complaint is...
I have to agree with some of the statements on here. I want value for my money. If I pay for a groomed trail, it should be groomed. If I'm only paying for the use of the mountain and cabin, then here's my $8... Thank you!
And I sick of the aurgument that because a handful of arsholes own...
Thanks for all the info everyone. I decided to pull the trigger and my entire group bought the pulse this week.
We found an awesome deal online but before buying, I talked to one of the vendors on here to see if they could match or come close to the price and they agreed they would. But when...
Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this beacon? My sledding group is looking to buy 6 or 7 of them in the next week or two and I'd like some feedback from anyone that owns one. (i.e. Easy to use, accurate, etc.)
I enjoyed the show and got my $15 worth, but I can't say I wasn't a little disappointed at the lack of deals this year. Two years ago there seemed to be alot more deals and a better selection of deals.
My friends and I went with the intension to buy a bunch of stuff this year and it was good...
I'm looking to buy 4 to 6 avalanche packs as well. We are planning to buy the ABS line.
Where is the best place to buy one? Anyone know if there are group discounts anywhere or should I look south and pick them up on my next trip accross the border?
What kind of deal did they have at the...
I get that the money goes to things other than just grooming the trails. But it is annoying to pay the fee and find out the trail hasn't been groomed since the week before. When your group drops $200 and everyone is bagged from the ride up the trail, it's hard to get excited about paying...
Check out "Harp" on here. He's the Spectro distributor and owns a few Ski Doo's and has some awesome product. Also, the long-haired hippie canadian from thunderstruck runs Spectro and will be showing off the pistons from his sled he's running it in at the sled show. Harp is great to deal with too.
Thanks, but I'll stick with XPS Semi Synthetic over Klotz. It may be warranty compliant but XPS was designed for BRP engines.
I'd rather not settle for a cheaper oil just to save a few bucks or because it smells pretty. The pretty/sweet smell comes from the addition of castor oil as an...
I've been looking into avalanche packs and I think this is the pack I want. I'm not looking for a lot of storage, just a minimal pack to hold a shovel, probe and a few extras. Any thoughts?
Also, where is the best place to buy one? What was the deal offered at the sled show last year...
Based on these prices, a 16 gallon drum (assuming US gallons) works out to $46.03 for a 4L jug and a 200L drum works out to $47.04 for a 4L jug.
Isn't a 4L jug (retail) from the dealership only $48? Is my math wrong? Where is the savings to buy in bulk?
