Quick, Clever, Downright Ingenious Remote Fixes

A "Goldfinger" left hand throttle is great for powder carving and if you Hit a boulder and break a right A arm on your front suspension (like my daughter did) ... You can remove the ski, then leaning out on the left side of the sled you can drive it out of the mountains (like her BF did). The...

    adjustable Handlebar risers

Probably no help to you, but I bought the factory Arctic Cat adjustable steering column for just over $200 (plus HST) from Gordo's. I love the way it works. Ted

    2010/2011 Sled Vid Thread

I didn't stick the landing in this hillclimb, but I did some gymnastics and got to get my sled stuck before it rolled over me and then the cliff. :d Ninja training, lol. Pic from the side so that you can compare to Gopro helmet camera

M1000 is King of the Hill, I did own Poos

Not sure if any of the "800s are faster" idiots ever went to school? The dummy that says that there is only 6bhp in a Y and can obviously hasn't a clue or rides something that only gets 6hp from all that money. There are a lot of idiots that don't seem smart enough to know that the Y pipe is...

Have You Ever Had To Tow A Sled Up A Hill??

The biggest sled should always be used for towing. Since I have the M1000 I get to do all the towing. I carry a 20' nylon rope for this reason. Towing is hard on smaller sleds. Ted

Have You Ever Had To Tow A Sled Up A Hill??

I bought a new ZRT600 and while breaking it in the XCR650 we were riding with quit. (electonic issues). The XLT600 couldn't get even half way up the hill to exit the valley in the Rainbows. Sooo ... I had to tie it onto mine. 3/4 way up the Hill and I was gonna turn out but the XLT rammed...

M1000 is King of the Hill, I did own Poos

Poo bashing? I suppose. Just reporting the facts. Your experience may be different. The real bashing is another thread and I didn't post there. As far as a 14 year old sled being a POS, my T cat was good enough to add a torque sensing link and long travel shock so that it was able to keep...

M1000 is King of the Hill, I did own Poos

So I guess none of you are argueing that the M1000 is the fastest after changing out the Government Y pipe and Catilytic Convertor? Good. It is difficult to beleive that some people think that a 1000 cc engine is heavier that a 700cc engine (the 1000 has bigger holes for the bigger pistons)...

Anahim/Nimpo Lakes central to West Chilcotin

6' in the Northend of the Southern Coastal Mtn range, although there was a lot more 2 weeks ago. Nearly spring sledding conditions now. No corn snow, but the sun is HOT in the Mtns. The Rainbows had another foot of fresh last week although there was a little bit of rain on it at 6500' coupld...

M1000 is King of the Hill, I did own Poos

I also own a 93 Polaris Indy Sport 440. POS ate a driveshaft bearing last winter and dropped the driveshaft. Broke the bearing clip in the gear case and is broken. Because the way Poo built the sled it was close to the ground and got stuck as soon as it left the old tracks it had to follow...

M1000 is King of the Hill, I did own Poos

My daughter rides an M7 with lifted handlebars. Boss lifted seat, Y and exhaust can. Few suspension mods and she's happy. She doesn't do much racing or Hill climbing, but all that she does is good. I had a Thundercat which I bored, ported etc to 220hp! Bought a ZRT 600 match ported the...

What are the best sleds for women???????

My daughter rides a modified M7. She says that a Skid is too hard to pull over to carve,. Jerking bars and throttle are needed to carve on Skid. Polaris Dragon pulls over too easy and sucks on the trails. M8 or M7 si what she prefers. She said that my M1000 has too much power and is more...

Artic Cat Y pipe and can

I have to recommend all aftermarket Y pipes and muffler canisters over the stock junk, I believe the Gov required the use of Catalytic Convertors (made of Toxic Heavy Metals) and emissions Y pipes. I disagree with Government emissions that require use of Toxic Heavy metals in our sleds. The...

    Clutch heat?

Looking at the pic I gonna say that you need to adjust the secondary clutch with the shims. I was told "just slightly above the shiv. Yours is a long way out of the clutch. When mine was adjusted a lot lower than that I exploded a #60 belt running wide open and waiting for the top speed. Old...

    05 M7 questions

I think that this is probably your problem. https://www.snowandmud.com/forum/f456/any-ideas-what-might-wrong-my-43234.html There seemsto be a few Power Valve Cables that have broken. Easy to undo the 2 bolts holding in the power valve on each cylinder and give them a tug. Supposed to clean...
