No stator upgrade required the newer yz450 10-15 stators put out enough to run light and hot grips.. If your not doing alot of night riding check out the frankensled trail lights for your helmet.. Picked one up at sled show $150 rechargeable lithium battery last around 2 hrs.. I used a lead dog...
Perfect.. Few things i did to my yami were thermostat from thermo bob, temp gauge, adventure pegs, cyclops light bar, pre filter air intake openings on shrouds, bark buster hand guards, hot grips there not that great though i wouldnt even bother with them ..Block rads off and shroud engine in as...
Id go 450 minimum for motor if you can.. I race a 350 sxf and it doesnt make any hp untill its at high rpm.. I put my ST kit on a yzf450 efi model it does well but you always want more like others say especially when its deep .. Im sure you 'll get around okay on the 350 but you will be bouncing...
Ya i never even tried one before I just knew id like it, I race stand up jetskis and Mx this is perfect fit.. I still like to pull the old yammi out on really deep days boost is so addictive but so is bike.. Few of the boys in our group are getting kits for next year
450 cc is minimum id say you wanna go with on a thumper... Havent seen many 2 smokers run yet but heard the ktm 300 work well and the cr/kx 500.. Im running 121 inch track,, I cant see myself going to the 137 inch the 121 floats good enough maybe with boost the 137 be the ticket..The pros If...
I ran up to 14 lbs on premium with my PL kit had headshim over that I ran 50/50 race up to 18 lbs , the timing was cranked up abit on bottom end using rb3 so used race for extra insurance.. If you have header off I would weld up where the three pipes come together I had to beef mine up in that...
Most automotive performance shops have boost controller dial type.. Here in Edmonton Mopac parts , JBs automotive any turbo car shop will have them.. Put a small 45 or 90 degree elbow on end of pipe if possible direct heat away, or mount rack little further back maybe,, most sled dealers will...
Its my first season on snow bike yz450 efi no issues yet except little gas in oil Ive done thermostat relocated air sensor blocked rads in.. Its been a riot,, its crazy where these things will go and effortless to ride.. On the deep deep days I pulled sled out twice this year I think with boost...
I was the same.. Sold my t- nytro after sled show after feeling how light viper felt, figured id better dump it while its still worth something. Rode pro and snow bike allittle figured i could go without boost and wait for 15s to come out but couldnt do it lol.. Picked up a wicked out apex...
Im in the same boat, talked to my insurance company intact other day about snow bike no go.. Even my mx bikes track ridden only like to have fire/theft no dice..
Just picked up a tapex rode it in renshaw last week 3-4 feet of fresh was a blast in deep.. Alot more stable then my t-nytro, but my nytro was alot easier to get it to do what i wanted in tight areas in trees etc . The apex is way better on trail with the lower weight, better mid range power...
1" rigid board insulation, skin walls with puck board, milk board, or aluminum sheeting, white thin puck board is the cheapest and looks like aluminum..Lots of LED lights, RV furnace is the only way to go easy to wire up and run your copper tubing from underbelley tank or vertical tank. Couple 6...
Sounds good be nice too try it out..Ive only ridden my bike 3 days and was a blast with boost will only get better long as the reliability is there.. My yz doesnt look to bad to pipe/fit everything up and make up a airbox/intercooler to fit..
Right on.. Ya Im leary of what these small motors can handle? My nytro worked awesome 16-18 pounds boost.. The boost it box should work great! What size turbo are you using? i might have to fab up a kit as well lol..
