Yes of course on larger stuff. Always bill monthly or after decent progress on anything large.
I'd rather do residential then commercial, more money for less headaches and risk. Most GC's don't know their head from their a$$, pay when they feel like it, want something for nothing, and think...
Stucco is a bad trade to find for some reason. On my house they were the same way, they wanted like 30% after the scaffold and Tyvek was up (this was before the changes to how it's done), but asked for it after half the house was like that and I told them to pound sand, get some work done if you...
Your first mistake was giving money upfront. Never ever ever unless it's justified from ordering custom material from a reputable place for like cabinets, windows, etc and always do it on a credit card. In Alberta to take deposits you need a license for it, you could check if they have that...
The scam is they make it so difficult to fight the tickets most just give up and pay them, even if in the right. Even during covid they had in person tickets for a lot of it hoping people wouldn't show up. I got a $100 BS parking ticket, the dumba$$ wrote the wrong date and time (don't know how...
Getting ready for school when my dad called and said turn on the tv, seemed surreal at that time what was happening, although I was only 12. Still want to go to NY one day and check out the museum.
Ah ok, so the key is you're ok as long as no connecting flights in the US. Not ideal, but I guess should still be able to go many places. No interest in Mexico, I was thinking like Australia, New Zealand, or possibly Europe.
If it’s that easy for us unvaxed to fly outside of Canada that’s awesome, I won’t be spending much of the winter in Canada, gotta make up for lost time. How come they say no travelling though? I assumed you had to show proof of vax to fly?
I have no problems at my current yard thankfully, at my old one boards filled with nails in the brush. Got tired of fawkers cutting the chain link and coming inside stealing/trying to steal. Even one time cops came and they caught the guy and they don't want to do the paperwork they just want to...
That's disappointing. I figured that place really missed the mark being in the location it is next to Princess Auto and not being a fast food takeout type place. It's just not in a location for that type of restaurant.
Chop has good steak, but for chicken or pasta there is better options. Buco is really good for pasta, never tried their steak but anything i've had there is good. I also like how you can sub the sides and get their pasta as a side to the steak, short ribs, etc.
IMO it's not about the age, it's if it looks decent and is reliable. There are many 5 year old vehicles that don't meet either of those, and plenty of 10-15 year old one's that meet both. 5 years old and 200k is nothing. But as long as the compensation is good enough to justify replacing them...
No that's not true. All you need is a signed form from employer that your vehicle is required for the position and you can write off the portion of expenses that the vehicle is used for your job, as a regular employee.
That's weird never heard that, it makes no sense. It seems like anything different is a reason to raise rates though. My commercial auto jumped about 50% because it was originally rated for around spruce grove because I was on a acreage there, but because it's commercial and my work is edmonton...
I am going to have my broker run the numbers at renewal time to see if changing driver to female or unspecified would lower my rates. It better not, but if it does it will be getting switched. Might as well get some benefit to this stupid BS.
