If it's really short term that makes sense, but after like 10 days the pods gets cheaper. Also way more hassle renting u-haul compared to a pod being dropped off. Uhauls mileage rates, etc add to the price fairly quick too.
I did it last summer as I needed my stuff stored for 2 months. I think it was like $750 for 1 pod for 2 months and all the pickups/drop offs and storage, easy to punch in details online and get a quote. Only real extra is insurance for contents, if the truck gets into accident, their storage...
Prices are going to come down shortly. Inventory is creeping up at dealers and sales will continue to slow. IMO unless it's a must I wouldn't be upgrading a vehicle right now, if you do i'd go used. Anyone buying new right now is going to be seriously upside down in a few years.
Apples and oranges. Totally depends on the business. Many outside of a location and equipment, etc the "business" has little to no value in many industries. People go to the business because of the owner in the case of many small businesses and without them they wouldn't retain most of their...
I never said digging basements and 95% of my work isn't basements either, there's no money in it compared to other stuff. I've done commercial excavation, I know what they are getting paid and it's nothing great, I don't even waste my time with it anymore. Government work is some of the best...
Honestly not a concern to me I only need to work like 1 day a week to pay the bills at the most and have a good safety cushion. I have zero intention to sell, having employees is way too much hassle. Few more years of it and will sell all the equipment and be set.
There is no way there extra costs are that high. Let's say it's a $20k sled and the dealer makes $4k on it, you're telling me the big shop needs 25% more profit? It's all BS. I would bet the extra discount they get from moving more inventory covers any extra overhead.
Who cares if the big...
BS. I'm a small guy with a few pieces all run myself and I guarantee you I make WAY more margin myself then ANY big company makes on 1 employee/similar piece of equipment, also I make way more because an employee working by the hour is way slower then someone paid by the job, on many jobs I can...
Jeeze full sticker. I'm gonna feel sorry for you guys who paid that when you go to sell in a few years. It won't be long and it will be back to 15-20% off sticker.
It'll take a bit as interest rates are fixed for virtually all vehicle purchases unless you buy under like a HELOC. But I do agree they will come down a ton next year as demand will dry up.
Service is still chit in some places in Edmonton. I had to enable wifi calling at my house because I couldn't make a decent phone call with telus, rogers service is just as chit here to and i'm in the city. Yesterday was working not too far from southgate and only had 1 bar in some spots too...
Bought Jenn Air at my old place in 6 years only trouble I had was the wall oven control panel went once under warranty and again right as I sold it, think it was like a $2k repair. IMO the dashwasher was worth the extra coin, I miss how well it cleans compared to the regular run of the mill...
I'm with economical, rates go up every year without any claims. I've tried to shop around and some companies won't touch me because of what I do, but never had any of them care about the size of company.
