They're the older Silber Kit parts. The metal screen is probably easiest found at a muffler shop. And the outerwears screen is a 3" by 5" and easy to find online ~$13 I think.
My Silber kit is a 2011 and the turbo is that orientation.
Through the hood and especially behind the windshield has been a great spot. Well protected and snow free.
I've done it for years. 2007 gm half ton with helwig springs (same as super springs). Payload was as high as any half ton before or since. I drove the ch!t out of it and it worked good. Lots of guys will say "ooooh it's too heavy, it's unsafe... waaaah" Just do it.
Air bags are $350 and...
I'd say you're good. I put 700 miles on mine last year and as I put reeds in last weekend I could still see the grey coating on my skirts. Plus the tops looked new also. Can't tell you about piston slap but that's the real concern on any pro.
I have a non intercooled Silber kit and this post has just made me realize and potentially be a fix for an issue I've seen on my sled.
I have irregularly hit detonation on my sled for very brief times and usually directly attributed to dropping elevation more than I measured and having boost...
Ya I rotated it and it's pointing almost straight forward now, no problem for the previous owner before that luckily . It's an 2011 Silber kit, it ran great all last year!!
Came off an 09 46 and to be honest after I got used to a PRO (I have 9 days riding this year) they're basically the same. The comfortability is something that is learnt. I had a hard time at first but now I can ride PRO, Doo, Cat all the same. If anyone has trouble and thinks they can't do...
I like the factory track, essentially the best all around track out there.
I like that you can 3" without an extended chaincase
I like the brake on the driveshaft
The jist of my point is that myself, you, Danny, Rob or anyone else who jumps off a doo and onto a PRO will need ~3 days of conscious effort before it will cross over from much more difficult to easier. I saw a pic indicating that Jess probably tried one out but a day isn't enough.
Danny's...
You and Chris both saw me on my Pro for the first day, even the second and third day I was stumbling around that thing. After some setup changes and practice the fourth and fifth days this year I could ride it as good as my XP (with its 09 faults) Now I can say that I am slightly better on it...
I have a silber PRO with several side and console vents. I still plumbed out my air filter through the stock location under the bars. I noticed with the 11 kit intake right in front of the compressor side I had some (too much) belt dust on the blades of the compressor wheel. Outside air and...
