As other have said, asap, get a car in their name so they can start a driving and insurance record. Nothing worse than driving for a couple years under your insurance and getting dragged over the coals. Then they start on their own, and the last couple years mean dic.
We did my kids insurance...
I just had mine done a few months ago. Called the company that installed it and watched closely. Its easy to do, but get the better equipment, and the descaler that changes color. Its all available on Amazon:
Well, went all in, new backing plates, new drums (with bearings and seals installed), shackle's, bolts and taller equalizers. The only thing not being replaced are the springs. All in around $600.00. All from Standens.
They match the original fender line, so maybe 2 1/2-3 up, only stick out 1/2"-3/4". Very low profile.
Seriously considering putting a set on the new truck now too.
These were one of the only ones that fit this vintage truck ('09) that didn't cost $600.00 and more, or were special order. They...
I put these on my Ford. Foe the same reasons, I like the flares, but didn't want them too wide.
They were a perfect fit, super easy to install, and marked for all the factory holes (you would have to predrill them though)
The axles are already below the trailer. My preliminary measurements may me think I will need at least 3". That 6" equalizer, less the 2 1/2" that is on there currently would get me 3 1/2" no?
Up grading from a 2009 F250 to a 2009 F350. The 350 is 2 1/2" higher than the F250. The smaller truck is the perfect height (after the suspension squats about 2") for the 5th wheel. The new truck will barely notice the the trailer on the suspension. I'm going to have to jack up the trailer up at...
Getting the quads ready for the first ride next weekend. Oil, diff fluid changes and greased the bearings. Found a tear in a boot on the wife's TRV. She's pretty hard on it driving on gravel roads and such! 😜
The new lift performs great! That orange cat weighs in around the 720lb mark. lifts and...
It was actually a really good time. A few dealers with stock, a few clubs, some charities and few small retailers. Just like the big show, condensed. The pop up towable camper was a highlight for us. The rider training outfits were conspicuously missing in action.
