    Bar Risers...Success!

I've only riden it to and from work so far. Not far enough to get a real feel in the shoulders, but the seating position is much better. This is a big bike and I'm only 5'6" (on a tall day!) so time will tell. I found you yesterday on the 109Riders Forum too. That place has tons of info about...

    Bar Risers...Success!

Adding a series of different sized machine bushings I was able to get the new risers solid. Better news, they don't touch the speedo under full lock. Moved the brake lever a bit further up the bar to get just a bit more slack. I think I'll do the same thing to the clutch side. So far, the...

Future modular EV platforms will be flexible and multifaceted

This is one of the biggest pitfalls of the EV revolution. All the manufacturers have their own battery design and charging requirements etc. How can you effectively plan a long range trip anywhere with 6-8 hr charging times in between? It seems to me that a battery exchange at service stations...

What did you do for your ATV today?

Ordered some new brake pads, belt (4500km on the original!) and CVT gasket.

Motorcycle Hazard! Ford Wants This in Their Cars and Trucks

Thought I would post this here, even though it is targeted at motorcyclists, and specifically about the new Ford F150. Ford Motor Company has applied for a new patent that will use a billboard recognition system to display in car ads to the driver on the dashboard. Bottom line, Ford has...

    Bar Risers...Success!

Looks like I have a plan to make these units work. Found enough slack in the throttle and clutch cables to make them fit better. Going to adjust the handle bar a bit and move the brake up the bar a touch. That should get me just enough slack in the brake line. Then I'll adjust the full lock with...

    Bar Risers...Success!

So the bar risers are a fail :(. Found a super cheap set on Kijiji to try and see how it works with the speedo and the control cable length. They fit me great! Exactly the right height and pull back, but all the stock cables are all too short, and the risers just touch the speedo on full lock...

    Hooray for Helicoils!

Yes they are. I just hope the magnet on the end has enough balls to hold the tip of the helicoil if it breaks off eventually.

    Hooray for Helicoils!

Gave up on trying to find a replacement axle for my Alterra, so just tackled the boot replacement. Now I know why those axles are so expensive. They made it so that repair could be done on the trail with only what's in the tool kit. Love it! So onwards for complete oil and diff fluid changes...

    Segway ATV's & Side X Sides

Wifey and i did Segway tour through Rome. Best thing to do on the first day dealing with jet lag! They are super easy to ride. We did a 2 hour tour and had a blast! My kid and his cousin got GC for the river valley tour the Christmas before Covid. Still sitting in the mail holder unused. Not...

Bill 64 - Random Camping Proposed Fees

I've already prewarned the wife about May long. For sure there will be a fire ban, and they'll kick in an ATV ban, well, because they can. Planning a route to take a bike trip instead. Hotel it on a May long weekend for the first time...ever.

LG front load washing machine issues

^^^^^This^^^^^ We have owned a Tromm set for 13 yrs, with 2 dogs and 2 cats in the house, those drains need to be cleaned out after almost every load. Its also a good idea to leave to washer door propped open until the interior dries out. Keeps it smelling better. Its supposed to help the gasket...

Issues in Westlock - Crown Land

This is online now as well, with a pic (insert puke emoji here). It's getting a ton of attention, it will be closed for sure for May long. Call it a fire ban, or an ATV ban, but the writings on the wall. ‘It’s out of control’: Westlock County residents concerned over Crown land abuse (msn.com)

    Bar Risers...Success!

So, if I replace the current stock risers, which are already at least 2" (I haven't actually measured them, but you can see in the pic, they are pretty substantial already), I would need something in at least a 4", maybe a 6", measured from the top of the triple tree right? Something like this...

    Bar Risers...Success!

After a couple rides on the new Bully, Ive come to think I want risers. I'm leaning too far forward, feel sore in the shoulders after an hour or so. Been looking at some and think instead of replacing the current stock risers, just adding Rox pivoting risers. Any one have experience with them?

There Should be More Focus on this Type of Green Energy

'World's most powerful tidal turbine' gears up for operation (msn.com) I saw a documentary on Discovery about the lab in Scotland. Anyone who has a working prototype can hook up to the lab for testing. The most promising I thought was more or less a big barge with a pendulum that would swing...

Stand Up Electric Powered Trail Machine

we bought a used electric scooter for my MIL years ago. She never did use it. sat in my garage forever. Bought a pair of new 6v batteries 2 years ago tring to flip it on Kijiji. Still taking up space. Kinda looks like this one: Make me an offer on it and it would be a good platform to start...
