I’m a die triple nut. Have tweaked 600 triple in s chassis. I think the 872 would smack a well piped 809 and maybe even a 889. However to give the triple justice they just never had good as chassis to sit in as we have now. If you could wedge a triple like you mentioned in these new chassis’s I...
I would say there is at bare minimum the difference between a 800 and new 850. The 850 narrowed the gap on 872. We ride with 850's and have rented them a few times. The stock 850 with 165 will not run with my 872. However a clutched and piped 850 i think would be different. My oldest son just...
This is exactly the case. When i first started to clutch this bb a assumed adding weight was what was needed. I was way off. Once I got it figured it was alot better, it could use a little tweaking yet especially when snow gets heavier. In snow up to a ft a good running 800 is close, but after...
Oh yes that makes sense. My son has xp thats severily lightened and hes about 30 lbs lighter. His ported 800 gets me most places till snow gets waist deep. Then bb shines.
Was that u ahead? I had to really play with clutches to get 872 to pull. Its alot different power curve.I find the deeper the snow the more the 872 shines.
Lilduke im taking it you have 850 with jaws and your buddy ol xm with 872?My 872 daylight n dark over 800. No comparison once so ever. However mines a 13 so was thinking of moving to newer chassis. Some of the 850 174 will stick close that i ride with. However if they have 165 i can usually get...
Boys i know greg well but that seems high for any pipe. Brp not in habit of leaving room in pipe. If those motors around that power trygstad 927 must be 200+.
Re: To all the broke d*cks who can't afford a diesel one tone.
The new ford 7.3 gas is going to put the competition on its heels to say the least. Going to be very interesting! And yes chevy pretty much borrowed all the early 351 ford criteria to build LS. Go to link...
Oh yes Tom. I found pistons and gaskets, not sure why this one so low. Pistons and cylinder looksgreat. Maybe never got a good seat. Will redo see where it goes. I hope that cures it.
So thats stock compression? This sled has between.065-.070 squish. Has wiseco pistons and 4 dot gasket. Cylinders look good. Looks like doo does not offer pistons anymore or base gaskets.
Thanks guys. Couldn't remember. Had one years ago all tuned with fast pipes. This one done up in s chassis very clean. Was playing with jetting and it has dial a jets was bouncing all over on egts so thinking compression down and its acting funky.
