80 Z28. My first car and somehow I still have it.
My Dad wanted me to get a new Lada Niva At the time lol.
Better on gas he said. Of course that didn’t happen but he sure did like driving this thing after we got it.
Great Memories. !!!
Nice.
Going up next week for 5 days of riding. Can’t wait. Looks like the temps are staying well below zero.
Long days, Blower pow in the middle of March.
GOTTA LOVE IT. !!!!

My favorite vintage sled. This is my all original unrestored 72 Panther 440. 1500 miles
The sound of this sled is AWSOME. !!!!
I am running a 20 AXYS 850. 162 2.6.
As I see it. This new QD 2. Is just a larger lower pulley. So a 21 pulley and new longer belt should be an easy gear down. Am I missing anything here ?
Ya. Was great to see the kids having fun on the mountain. Everyone was really respectful around the wives and kids this time around.
Last year not so much. Had to ask a bunch of guys to take it outside. Dropping F bombs every second word around 10 year olds.........Not cool.
Some future Sledders learning the ropes.
My 14 year old was riding an 09 800. And took my new one for a rip and the first thing he does is want to get a pic of him getting some air.
One found a tree well
And a creek.
Another family trip done. 5 family’s and some vintage iron made it up to the Renshaw cabin and back No rope required. Lol
We rode Renshaw Friday and Lucille Saturday. Rough Vis but great snow around the trees. Fog rolled in late Saturday made getting back interesting
Any condition updates. We are doing a family trip this weekend taking the wives and kids up. Riding Lucile tomorrow and wondering how the trails are holding up with the warmer temps.
Thanks
So I had my 20 850 163. 2.6 in Renshaw on the weekend It was hitting 8350 and running like a champ. I thought it should be around 8200.
Should I be looking at adding heavier weights ?
Great idea Chris. I noticed this problem big time on my older sleds 97–98 2004 RMK ETC. can’t remember the name of those plastic skis but mine are egged out bad.
Will these work on the older polaris plastic skis too or just the gripper. If not here is an opportunity to seek more Lots...
Great honest advise!!!!
I have been over riding it then. The hard part for me is to stand so far ahead and that must be where it goes south.
The new boards on the AXYS are AWSOME and I have major control with my feet closer to the back when climbing.
I will try moving up on the boards...
So I ride a 20 AXYS 163. 2.6. I got to ride the new turbo yesterday In red sands
1– the turbo is the real deal. Period.
It is a wheelie King. limiter was pulled TIGHT. In some crazy pulls in the trees it was a little sketchy trying to keep the nose down and not go over backwards...
