Awesome. Thanks so much RXN. My quadding buddies will be happy! They have been bugging me all spring asking when and where are we going quadding! Waiparous it is. We could not get out last spring due a major turnaround at the plant so this year the guys are itching to go.
Hi Folks,
I am planning my work buddies annual quad trip for this spring. I would like to check out Ghost Pluz/Waiparous this year. The Margaret Lake trail looks pretty good so would like to ride that trail among others. We are usually a group of about 8 guys and we all random camp in our...
Thanks for everybody's input. So, my wife ended up getting me a gas powered 20" Husqvarna for Fathers day. It did fine strapped to the front rack of my kids Grizzly. It worked great when needed as I had to cut two trees that were down on the first two trails I rode on this summer. So, all good!!
I would also love to have a map that is not for a GPS. Or even just a verbal description of where this is. I ride that trail a few times a summer and have yet to find the caboose and other buildings.
I think I need to get a chainsaw for the trails this summer. Last year, two of favorite trails had very large impassable trees blocking the trails. Does anyone have experience with strapping a gas or electric chainsaw to their quad. Does it survive the trail abuse from hard, fast, and fun riding...
Hi Folks,
I am going to be taking a few guys from work quadding in that area early in June. I am just wondering about the best, most fun, and safest way to get to the top of limestone mountain. I will have about 6 riders and myself who are all pretty experienced riders on big bore machines...
Not sure if you can get them for a HD truck or not but i took a chance on a set of Sumitomo Encounter AT's from Kal Tire. I have had them for about 3 years now and I am very impressed. Awesome traction, and very quiet considering the aggressive tread. The price was very decent too. I run them...
I have always ran Grizzly's. I am on my third one now. I would stay away from the old 660's as they had overheating issues. However, 2007 and later models the fuel injected Grizzlies are very good. Super dependable. The Yamahas do not have as much torque as all the competitors twin cylinder...
Looking at used quads for the 14 year old son. 450 ish size. Honda pricing is insane. Yamaha didn't make 450's for a few years so not many around. Anyone have experience with a 2005 bombardier 400. Any good? Or even any 2005 ish year bomby? Just wondering if those were good machines? If bomby...
I have ridden this rail line many times and cannot find the caboose and school house. I have been told to look for an old pair of rain pants hanging from a tree but have not found that either. Can anyone tell me where to stop on the trail to find the school house? Thanks in advance.
I would suggest a Toyota Tundra as well. I have a 2007 Tundra. It is by far and away the best truck I have ever owned. (I have owned all brands in all sizes and gas and diesels.) It has 245000 kms on it and the engine and powertrain are still as good as the day I bought it. It has towed my...
Thanks for the feedback Ryeser. I rode Southesk on June 4. It was great. Lots of great scenery, fairly easy trail with the odd little tester mud hole and a couple of challenging hills. I was surprised though at how dry it was for early June.
What are peoples thoughts of riding this area? Is it beautiful? Are the trails fun, challenging? Is it passable say in Early June (ie. Not too wet to get through). Ruby Falls seems to get all the attention on this forum but I have 'been there, done that' and want to turn south at the creek and...
Hello All,
Just wondering if there has been any change regarding the future of the Crowsnest Pass for riding OHV's? I had the pleasure of being able to camp at McGillvray last year and ride that beautiful area. Any updates? Thanks in advance...
Due to the wet conditions and the AEP red tape the ATV rally in Nordegg on the AUG long weekend is canceled.
Ah Crappy. I was planning to go with several friends and my son. We went last year and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for the heads up though Nordeggab. I would have showed up there on...
There is a trail map on the the local snowmobile club website. It is at https://lakelandbreakers.com/map/ As far as being able to tell which is the high and low trails... It's been a few years since i was out there but i think there was a large map on a permanent sign at the staging area...
