Intermittent failures and you can’t test it in shop. It will hold til it doesn’t. Usually at the worst times.

They dropped 120lbs off the block. Main bearing caps are flexing and moving around. Pulling threads in main bearing cap thread holes. They are flexing into an egg shape and wearing into the block.

Happened so soon they went back to go get the Summit at the parking lot. Wasn't even noon.

9R rider switched out to a Summit Expert mid-ride. Wonder the cause.....

What I have never understood is places always wanted trucks that were within 5 years of age if you were a owner op. This was during when dpf's were already in full swing/def was coming in. Pure hot steaming garbage that was always dropping their load and on the hook to the dealer.

Warranty is just a scam unless there is someone to stand behind it. Dealers hate it. They get screwed on it. Doing most things they don't get paid fully for it.

Need quarter million dollar Peterbilt to get that.
