    InReach - Spot - Garmin 700i What's everyone's thoughts

I always have my Garmin 650 on the sled and an InReach in my pocket. The Garmin is there in case I get turned around or white out conditions and I can track back or at least I'll know where my main waypoints are. The Inreach is used through-out the day sending preset messages to my wife so she...

    Broken InReach Screen

Now that you've asked that, I wonder if it's a protective sheet over the screen because the image looks fine. I have the typical plastic screen cover for scratches but it's cracked underneath.

    Broken InReach Screen

Somehow I broke the screen on my InReach. I didn't have any major dismounts either. I contacted InReach to see about replacing the screen. They said no. They did offer a new InReach for $300. I find it strange that they don't offer repairs.

What kind of rope are you using? A lot of the rope I see in stores is rated 90 to 100 lbs.

    Snowmobile Helmet Light

I bought a couple of these and I’m impressed with how bright they are. I already had a drift camera mount on my helmet so I got my brother to drill and tap a 1/4” hole. The 4000 mah bank I had laying around lasts a little over 2 hours.

    WTF is wrong with people?

I'm kind of entertained just by reading the write-ups on stuff like an 8 year old sled that's listed for $9k. 3500 kilometers is now considered low?

    PIEPS Beacon Failures

I received an update today on my warranty claim. They never offered a discount so I am assuming that they’re shipping a replacement. I sent my Sport at the beginning of November. After a long delay, we finally have replacements back in stock and are shipping them out as fast as we can. You can...

The totals aren't updated very quickly. The system still relies on hand written paper trails when reporting deaths.

Retail Stores vs Online shopping.....what is your Opinion?

I like to buy local if I can and I think I'm paying a bit more for the convenience of getting right there. More often than not, I buy online because of the huge difference in price. If I go to the dealer, they want to sell me OEM at $$$$. I can go online and decide to spend $$$, $$ or $. I have...
