try checking your intake boots on the carbs as they may be cracked and when warm are creating a seal but when cold the rubber gets hard allowing a vacuum leak

Extra 10 & 12 are the most common suspension on polaris sleds and to the best of my knowledge the shortest track offered with that suspension is the 136
If your going to a synthetic check out the availability in your area for amsoil as i run it in a honda quad and it is parked outside all winter and i have no problem firing it up since switching to amsoil syntheticand it has been getting down to the - 30s in whitecourt the last little while

I know a freind of mine extended the track on a old 650 wild cat and the rails are about 8-10 inches from the end of his track ,he has been riding it for 3 years like that with no track issues to date
