    Goodbye Gray Creek Powerline Ride

Here's a couple of photos of the area. Access to this from the West side will be next to impossible and really difficult from the East side.

    Goodbye Gray Creek Powerline Ride

:realmad: The owners of the unused powerline between Kimberly & Gray Creek have taken the poles & wire out and deactivated the trail with SEVERE ditches every 50 yards/metres waist deep. They also took the bridge out that crosses Crawford Creek on the West side of the trail and that renders...

    Kokanee closing trails

What would you say if you knew the manufacturer of your quad donated to United Way or a group that advocated eliminating trails - like Trans Canada Trail - a group that wants some quad trail turned into Hiking Only?

    Kokanee closing trails

Sounds like an internet rumor to me and shouldn't have been posted without some form of verification. I live 50 mi from the brewery and know that a lot of thier employees are dedicated and responsible riders. I don't think they'd work for someone trying to eliminate thier sport/hobby.

    quad with tracks

Should do ok. My 300CC Polaris did great except for top speed. Lost 50% but sure would climb.

    quad with tracks

My Polaris 400HO (455cc) pulls them just fine so yours will at least equal it. Going price seems to be 3700-4000 $ out the door but it pays to shop.

    quad with tracks

Mine are E Tatou, forerunner to Camoplast's 4S & snow only. 4S is the most popular and best selling, but most tracks are pretty much the same. Avoid Mattracks, pricey, heavy, complicated and the users seem to say - inefficient. The guys that have trouble with breakage are the guys that could...

I;ve run tracks for for years and haven't had a problem or been stuck in up to 8 ft of snow. Luv 'em.

Apache Track System For the Outlander 800r

Sleds & tracks are so totally different in performance and use that it would be wise to give it a lot of thought before purchasing EITHER.

    Tracks

Absolutely not. My 400HO (455 CC) pulls the track great. My riding buddy has a 500X2, stock, and it also is a great performer. Rule off thumb, tracks will cost you 35-50% in top speed but you gain it back in pulling power.

Sportsman 400 HO vs 350 Big Bear

The 400HO is no weakling ! Its a midsize but tough as nails. Had mine almost 3 yrs & 4,000 miles, most of that on tracks. Don't think we can blame the machine.
