I would go with the nadp towing transmission, I have sold a ton of those and the work really good and handle big power and big tires.
Have you given any thought on the seat. i have a couple other guys that are interested in it and I just wanted to give you first dibbs on it
Your primary is shimed too much so when the belt wears it makes too much of a gap and that is the snapping (jerking) motion you feel. Mine does it too when my belt wears.
To cure it I got the ABC kit from thunderproducts so when my belt wears down I can adjust my primary to have about 15-20...
My dads XP did the same thing except he had never had his apart.
We fueled up in the morning all from the same gas station. Let his sled warm up good while we were getting ready to ride and then we took off down the trail. made it about 10 miles and it stalled.

I am planning on doing something like this as well on my M series sled. Looked at what Diamond S has on their website and am going to somewhat copy them but with cromoly instead of titanium.

Haven't had any issues with my seat and it has the updated zippers like the one I am selling has.

The 3" track will fit under the sled all you will have to do is maybe trim a 45* on the top of the outside lugs just like you had to to clear the coolers on the m sleds. We flipped one up on the side and there is room for the track under it

I have a 1200 and I love the sled once you get it all tuned up and the settings all set its basically pull and go.
