    Above Ground Pools

Late May/Early June to late September or early October for ours.

    Above Ground Pools

The foam around the outside is a good point as well. I was looking at doing that this year but just didn’t get around to it. Next year I will likely add foam to each section and try to avoid the heat loss through the sides. I can do about half the pool that way, the rest of the pool has a deck...

    Above Ground Pools

I put in a Hayward a couple years ago. Has worked flawlessly so far but it does cost a lot to heat the pool. With our glorious carbon tax it is not great on the gas bill for sure. I would say it costs slightly more to heat the pool than it does to heat my shop in the winter other than maybe July...

Real life feedback on new 1 ton Fords or Chev/GMC's?

I am hoping my GM is good. My Rams were horrible for paint chipping, it would chip off if you looked at the truck. The worst one I had was a 17 Limited with pearl white paint, horrible paint for chips and quick bumper rust.

    Electric vehicles

Very easy to have a huge warranty when you get massive government funding to pay for everything. Tesla does have a good name going right now but a very cocky CEO that will make brash claims like unlimited warranty and lifetime free charging just seems unrealistic as a sustainable business...

    Solar Power

I have been in the business for 23 years now, pretty heavy in the methane reduction end of things now for the last couple years. Some major changes going on.

Real life feedback on new 1 ton Fords or Chev/GMC's?

So far with my GMC the only thing I do not like compared to my Dodges is the back seat. About the same amount of room leg wise but we have a Great Dane and with the seats flipped up there was more room in the Dodge and nicer with the fold flat floor. Otherwise I don’t regret the change. Ford...

    Electric vehicles

I have ridden in a Tesla Model X and it was definitely impressive but I don’t know that it was $130k impressive and there really is no longevity proven on these batteries. If I was going the electric direction I would likely head the hybrid direction like a Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine with a...

    Solar Power

Until they take out the net zero rules and allow anyone to produce up to a certain amount of power (under 1 MW maybe) solar is a very long term payout. If we could produce more than we use and get paid for it that would ultimately help the government reach their arbitrary goals on “green” power...

Real life feedback on new 1 ton Fords or Chev/GMC's?

Just went to my first GMC in a long time from driving Dodges. Loved my Dodges and had all duallys for the last few. Have to say I really love the GM. Power wise it is not as torquey on the bottom end but overall way more than the Cummins for everyday driving. Mileage is much better as well but...

    knee braces and sledding

I wear CTI braces sledding and have no issues. The braces should fit so that they are held in place on their own and not by your boots. I wore the same braces on my bike and they didn’t contact the boots at all. These are custom braces as well so the fit is made specific to my legs.

    Bow Cycle North

And they don’t do great work in my opinion. If I was sending someone for Ducati work I would say Motorrad would be my choice, not a dealer but they know what they are doing. I was a Bow Cycle customer as well as I had friends that worked there, which I think was the only reason I got good...

    Kinder Morgan

The country is completely screwed at this point. With the latest setback this pipeline will most definitely not be built and any investment in the oil and gas industry is going to be running for the hills. Why invest if special interest groups and a single province can overturn federal decisions...

    Shocking A dug out?

Get some flow going in there as well. Even if it is just recirculating you need the water to be moving all the time or it will start to be a nightmare. Keep up on your chlorine levels and PH balance/alkalinity to swim without burning eyes and itchy skin. Start the year with an algaecide and it...

    Factory Truck tires are JUNK

My XT4's worked really well through the winter and didn't show much wear but as soon as summer hit and i threw in some heavy towing it seemed like the heat and extra load caused quick wear.

    Factory Truck tires are JUNK

I run the ST Maxx on my dually now, only about 15k in but I like them so far, was able to upsize a bit as well without doing a spacer. Will see how they are in the winter but the little bit I ran them in spring snow they worked fine. I ran the XT4 before these. Great tire when new in the winter...

    Post your rant here

Couldn't agree more, if the place is busy then all bets are off. Sadly the norm is that most of the gas pumps are open and the guy takes the gas/diesel pump just because it is on the outside and he saw it first without thinking. I guess alot of people would never think of that if they have never...

    Post your rant here

Been there! 2 diesel pumps and 6 other gas pumps at the Petro near my place and most times some idiot is sitting at the D pump filling with gas. The station has an A&W attached and more than once I have been there when the guy then proceeds to walk around and go get his burger before moving...

    Let's talk skidsteers

I have an older Bobcat 753. Nice little machine overall, there are times I wish it could lift a little more but I can lift a round bale on flat ground or uphill. I like that it can get in places that are a little tighter than my Dad’s Cat 246D as it is a nimble little machine. Naturally...
