I put new rims and tires on my 2011 3500 a few weeks ago. Told the tire shop to make sure they transfer the TPMS to the new rims. The shop guy was very confused when he couldn't find them, looked very worried.. I was surprised to here that it didn't have them.
I went with 3500 in order to get a higher gvwr (crew cab / short box). I thought and heard from a few people that the 2500 would be pushing the limit with 2 sleds, a sled deck and all the gear. Not sure what the ratings are for long boxes. There are some threads talking about gvwr with sled...
I had a set on my Silent Armours of my F350. Great tire but I found they wore quick. Just put a set of kelly safari tsr's on my chev 3500, look good, a bit louder not sure how they will wear yet.
Looking to get a leveling kit for my 2011 3500HD. Front tires rub the front flaps (LT275/70/18) inside the wheel well when turning sharp. It's not bad, but just want to see what others are doing. Thanks
I will most likely be putting Kelly Safari TSR's on my truck (275/70/18) along with XD rims. I have be talking to treadline in Calgary. They have been very helpful and priced very competively.
I recently sold my 2006 F350 6L. It had 75,000 kms. It had most of the problems listed for the 6L. Head gaskets, Bed Plate Gasket, EGR Cooler and the Turbo. Most of the work was done around the 50,000 kms mark with the upgraded head bolts. After all the work was done, it was running good...
