I live in Athabasca as well and had to jet a 700 mxz skidoo for the hills but not for the flatland. I do not own an RMK but would think that you should not have to jet a mountain sled, should have a compensator built in. (like ski-doo dpm? ) I would also lean to gearing. Maybe someone slapped in...
Hi Nytro, welcome to Athabasca, I live west of town and ride all the time. We have a group we usually go with and we all enjoy each others company. There are miles and miles of sledding opportunities in the area and I would be happy to have you come out for a rip.
I won't razz you about riding...
You are right on the mark. I called a dealer to enquire about that yesterday. Gave them my VIN and was told my sled has a different engine that the 07 XRS. I have the 06 model P tec and they say it is near bullet proof.
I hope so !
I hope things workout for you, another 07 engine bites the dust. BRP should really step up for these owners.
I think I'll call the dealer today and see if there are any updates and such before mine craters.
Bought my 07 Renegade at Riverside. When I bought it the sales guy was pretty good.
When I came back, he wouldn't even say hello. I guess I pi$$ed him off by buying there..lol.
Sooo... my 07 Renegade 800 is still running , but my Buddies 07 XRS lost the engine the other day.
1800 miles on it. Crank bearing went. Still hoping the Renegade keeps going, no warranty left.
BRP should recall these engines to fix them up. The dealer apparently told my Buddy that 1 in 4 of...
I ride an 07 Renegade X 800 and it has been really good on belts. 3000 km on the sled and currently on the third belt.
My worry is loosing a bearing on the crank, which happened to my buddies 07 XRS. Keeping my fingers crossed.
2500 kms on 07 Renegade 800. Everything is stock other than the can and I have had no problems at all.
Sled is mostly used on trails but has been to the mountains twice. Very good performance and no maintenace problems yet.
Hope it stays that way.
My 07 Rev came with a 1.25 track and after 1 trip to Revy off it came. I put on a 1.75 camo as I didn't want to change the drivers. But I agree with the other posters, go with what you got and enjoy. The more times you go out the more experience you gain.
There is just enough to keep the sliders from burning up but not enough to cover the rocks.
Got about another inch last night and it is snowing lightly now. Maybe four inches total on the ground....still spinning dirt on the MXZ Renegade.
