    Snowmobile ride turns tragic

Sometimes, there are new fences built and not everyone knows they are there. I see it every year where I live. Alot of cattle grazing lease holders only put up one electric smooth wire with the posts spaced quite far apart. There is no mandate to remove the fence, so it stays up. Of course we...

    Where to stay in Mcbride

I can only speak for the Sandman, as that is the only place I have stayed for three years running. We have always been treated well and the restaurant has excellent food and is reasonably priced. They went above and beyond to accommodate our group every year. :d

    Playing guitar

Sometimes I don't play for months, then play for a few weeks. Usually I hear a tune I want to learn and that gets me going again. Once you learn a few cords, try playing along to a tune on the computer or cd player, I-pod, whatever. Try to follow the song along and learn the way the cords all...

Post pics of your house build

I never knew until I was told that when you have a styrofoam (advantage ) basement built, that the walls must be drywalled or painted with fire resistant paint before you can move in. Fire code is the reason, who knew ?

    Crusher move, Ft Mac

Planning, planning and more planning..lol. There was also plant production to consider so it is all tied into numerous other things. You are correct about the road, t was built for this move and continued to the new location. All of the conveyor sections were also moved as well and placed on new...

Where to buy a new sled in Edmonton

I found that after I bought my sled from riverside, they forgot my face, ugly as it is ! The service department has treated me well though and parts and gear are always 15% off.

    Crusher move, Ft Mac

This was the first move of it's kind anywhere in the world. We started it up yesterday and it is all good. There will be many more moves like this to come most likely on all the plant sites in the next several years. We were working on the project for three years and it went very well.

    What is it called?

I got a dirt skirt on my truck. I don`t really care for the look, but I do like the way it keeps the mud off my stuff !

    Fishing

My guess is they are either suckers or carp. Both look about the same. Burbots are commonly referred to as fresh water catfish, and are mainly found in lakes and not creeks ( I believe ) Suckers are known to travel up creeks to spawn and commonly spawn right after trout. The picture does look...

    Rescued Horses

I heard on CBC today that Belle, one of the horses rescued off of Renshaw was ridden in the McBride Pioneer Days parade. As a horse owner myself, I found this very heart warming. I do not know all of the details of this story, but I wanted to congratulate all the folks from McBride and...

    Side by Side

Thinking of buying a new side by side for the farm. I don't know anything about them other than the dealers that make them. What are some things to look out for and what Brand or model would you suggest for the farm. We need a work horse, not a race horse. I know there will be the old honda...
