    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

Well, I'm glad to hear that......crazy_wheeler's sounds like it has a nice setup that'd help with backcountry riding. I would be do some trail and lake riding, but I'd take it easy on the throttle when on the lake or trail. I keep thinking to myself that coming from an '06 Summit 1000, '98 670...

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

Nevermind. I found it. Nice sled! I'll definitely keep it in mind...... next dumb question....how hard is it to remove handlebar risers? Being that I'm only 5 ft 8", I think the 9" bar risers might be too tall for me.

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

Dumb question, where is the classified section? Would you be able to post a link to it? I might still be interested in an 1100. Especially one that was setup properly like yours sounds like it is.

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

Nope, ironically I'm an insurance broker, my friend is an insurance broker, his dad was an insurance broker for 20+ years, and yet he didn't have insurance on his snowmobile trailer. Not that it mattered. Even if he did, he wouldn't have given us the money for it or bought us a new one because...

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

It is. And yeah, my friend who has had an '08 Summit 800 and now has a '14 800 Pro RMK 155" always hated my 1000. He thought it was too much of a tank. I quite enjoyed it and then right as I was starting to get used to the weight of the 1000 and learning how to throw it around, the trailer we...

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

Yeah, granted it is a few years old, but I found an extremely low mileage (under 400 miles) 2011 Pro RMK 800 163" for $8,000. I'm hoping I could convince the guy to take $7500. $9k is actually a little over budget for me, but I could make it work. I'd be okay with a Rev XP as well.

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

Well, as much as I'd love the power, after reading some more stuff on them, I think I'd be better off with the stuff I was originally looking at. 600's and 800's.

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

That'd be my biggest complaint with the Summit 1000. The power and low end torque was very addicting. I have so many different options I'm looking at, at the moment. I just can't decide what I want. It doesn't help that I'm not brand loyal either. I'd happily ride Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, or Polaris.

    2012 M1100 Turbo Sno Pro 162"

So I was thinking of being smart and getting a 600 or an 800, but in the back of my mind, I do have this want for the insane level of power. I found a decent deal on a 2012 Arctic Cat M1100 Turbo with 500 miles on it and the guy is asking $9,000 firm. Being that a 2015 is close to $18,000, that...

    Switchback Assault or RMK Assault

Well, as much as I'm really liking the Switchback Assault and for my type of riding it is without a doubt the best sled, this 800 Pro RMK 155" I found for $9700 with 250 miles on it is one hell of a deal in my opinion. Now, only if my summer car would sell so that I could go start seriously...

    Switchback Assault or RMK Assault

I know. It'll be painful to look at it sitting in the garage all summer long, but I'm guessing that I can probably get the best deal this time of year, and I'm sure when I get on it for the first time it will be worth the wait :)

    Switchback Assault or RMK Assault

I'd agree with that. I'm hoping negotiation should be much easier now that it is almost May.

    Switchback Assault or RMK Assault

    So out of the three, which do you guys think is probably the best deal? 2014 600 Switchback Assault 144" x 2" 700 miles $9700 2014 polaris assault 144 x 2.0 rmk track | snowmobiles | Red Deer | Kijiji 2012 600 Pro RMK 155" 942 miles $8200 Pro RMK 600 w/ 155 track | snowmobiles | Edmonton |...

    Switchback Assault or RMK Assault

I like the Summit Sport, but I don't like that it is still the 600 carb. I'm also opposed to buying brand new because of the depreciation in the first couple years. I'd rather let someone else eat the depreciation and buy used. Found a 2012 Summit Sport 600 for $6800, not sure if it has 1250...

    Switchback Assault or RMK Assault

So, I'm looking at getting a new sled. Currently I have a 1000 Mountain Cat, and am tired of having to throw around all the weight. I found a decent deal on a 2012 600 Pro RMK 155" with 942 miles on it. For $1500 more, I could get a 2014 600 Switchback Assault with a 144" x 2" track (it is a 2"...

Mountain Cat 1000 should be in perfect running condition soon and other good news!

Okay, that makes sense! I was worried that if I tried to change the base jet to richen it up, it'd just lean it back out. And yeah, the ATACC does compensate for altitude and elevation....it stands for Automatic Temperature and Altitude Carburetor Compensator. Thanks for the information :)

Mountain Cat 1000 should be in perfect running condition soon and other good news!

Thanks! I haven't decided if I am just going to leave it stock or put some money into it. It is in such good shape that I'm not sure I want to start tearing into it yet. I've got a quesiton regarding the ATACC system on there too. If it has ATACC, does changing the jetting do anything? Or will...

Mountain Cat 1000 should be in perfect running condition soon and other good news!

Wow.....the power you can get out of a 2 stroke never ceases to amaze me. 260 horsepower/Litre of displacement is insane. That'd be like a 5.7L making 1500 horsepower without any power adders.

Mountain Cat 1000 should be in perfect running condition soon and other good news!

I don't know a lot about modding sleds, but 300 horsepower without a turbo seems unlikely......is it possible to get 300 horsepower out of a sled without adding a turbo?
