I am running the pump gas turbo on an 09. 6 psi, i mix in 10 liters of c111 just to ensure that I have the octane when I am riding down low. Fourth season and no issues so must be doing something right.
For me the 1000 "felt" lighter and more nimble than the M8. Mind you that was with the full SLP kit and reeds and a 153 track. I rode a stock 162 M1000 and I thought it was a total dog. I don't think I would ride the 1000 again without the full exhaust. It made it a monster!!
I can make my instant economy say that too if I reset it and coast down a hill...show me what it says after pulling a small hill, or after driving for two weeks....

You will need m-series shocks, I drilled the a arm to accept the 7/16 bolt. I'm sure someone on here has take off coil overs that swapped for floats to fix that issue

Tie rods, shocks, a arms. Just did the same on mine. Went with z bros a arms. under 400 bucks for a arms. New tie rods are cheap from cat. I found used m series shocks on here. Made a big difference.
If you try east around elinor lake, there are cutlines galore, or follow the power line that crosses 881 at the k road and head southeast, that will take you right to elinor lake. It's an awesome ride.
