How loud do you want your sled to be wide open? If you want loud, go MBRP or GGB Mountain Can.
If you want a little quieter sound (louder than stock) then go HPS or GGB Trail Can.
Considering their Jackets/Pants only have a laminate that has a breathability of 8k, I would be very surprised if they bothered with making their boots breathable. 8k is awful!
UGH, they are such a pain in the a$$ at the border. I went down to sled at Graves once, and I broke down on the trail in. Turned around and drove back to Fernie. They just thought I bought the sled (even though I have the registration) and decided to tear my truck apart. So, all in all a crap...
I would imagine they have a similar sound to the HPS can. Nice throaty growl at idle and low end, with a snappy acceleration with just a bit of a bark. They have a dB rating on the GGB website I believe for the Trail Can, as I believe Ontario has noise regulations for their trails.
You can order the GGB Trail Can if you don't want the extremely obnoxious noise of the Mountain Can.
Can't say anything on codes for the Summit, but I run the HPS can on my Pro (use to have the GGB Mountain Can and it was TOO LOUD). It has a great finish, incredible sound without having to wear...
If you already driving really slow, lock the Transmission in 2nd gear so that it's forced to drive at a lower RPM (I'm guessing the newer models still have that ability).
Just take the sway bar out. So it doesn't handle as well on the trail, but that isn't why we ride these sleds. I took mine off last year, and just taped it up, and put all the parts to re-attach it in my pack, in case I didn't like it. Not looking back, taking it completely out this year.
I put the Raptor Triple Rate Springs on my stock Walker Evans on my 2012 last season. Put them on all of the shocks, and I noticed an improvement in the ride for sure. Everything seemed a little smoother and I didn't bottom out once on the trail.
Get the Snowpulse Highmark Vest! Yes, they are expensive, but if you ever have to use it even once it is totally worth having. The vest is comfortable to wear all day and great for carrying the essentials.
I use the BCA D-2 EXT (). Seems very similar to the Kodiak shovel. The ability to use it...
I'll be stopping by the Pro-Am booth to check out the Vipers.
I'm looking forward to the sledders taking over this show in the next few years, and pushing out the skateboarding portion of it. Seriously, a skateboarding show in November.... Let's take back the SNOW Show!
